COUGARS TO NATIONALS
Five members of Larry Field’s U14/1 Girls team were invited to play at the Australian National Championships.
In the guise of the U14/1 Knox Raiders Team Nicole McMahon, Meg McKernan, Sam Donald, Susan Sears and Emily Schill played in the tournament in Queensland at the end of September 2006.
The Nationals is a Basketball Australia Tournament and attendance is by invitation only. In order to quality the girls needed to be within the top two of their pool in the current Victorian Championship season after round 9. (half way mark of season) The Girls completed this task with relative ease ending up two games clear of their rivals.
The Knox City Cougars is very proud of the girl’s achievements and congratulates them on a fantastic result.
