| The Juniors Program allows highschool teens (ages 14-18) to participate in learning fire fighting and/or rescue skills. There are currently about 20 members with their own officers plus three advisors. A junior may join the Fire Department at age 17 providing they have at least two years of membership as a junior. When they become a member, they can start required training as a firefighter or rescue squad member before going to college if it is in their future. The juniors attend two or four sundays a month of duty/training depending on whether they want to be fire or rescue.. There is also a business/training meeting once a month, along with events/activities through the course of the year. If you are interested, contact the department at 499-8836 and leave your name with the dispatcher and an advisor or officer will get back to you.
