KNOWLEDGE is the newest, hottest and freshest sensation to �bless the mic� this millennium!  At the age of 21, the Indianapolis, IN native, born Ryan Akers, writes lyrics that are inspired by his experiences as a gang-banger.  Blending together the reality of gangster rap, the finesse of neo-soul/ funk, and the conviction of Gospel, produces signature songs that penetrate the heart and reach the soul.

     As a child KNOWLEDE, traveled extensively with his parents.  The family eventually settled down in San Diego.  After his grandfather passed away, KNOWLEDGE
turned to the streets and became involved with gangs.  His involvement with gangs during this time nearly took his life, but God allowed a second chance. 

    KNOWLEDGE obeyed the voice of God and joined a dance ministry called �Adrain Ewings & The Steps of Praise�, which toured and ministered all over the country with Gospel Artists, such as Kirk Franklin, Tonex, God�s Property, Unity Klan, Fred Hammond, Trin-I-tee 5:7, CeCe Winans, and Jah-Word.

     Additionally, the dance troupe performed on various television and award shows such as Jay Leno, VH1�s House of Blues, the Grammy Awards, Soul Train Awards, Showtime at the Apollo, Bobby Jones Gospel, the Stellar Awards, Essence Awards, and Teen Summit.

     After a six-year stint touring with �Adrian Ewings & The Steps of Praise�, he realized his passion to create music had deepened.  Thus, he focused on writing lyrics and began performing regularly in the local gospel scene in his current residence of Houston, Texas.  KNOWLEDGE has performed throughout the state of Texas and has a large following in both Houston and Dallas.  His debut album is slated to be released on July 2003.

    KNOWLEDGE has a burden to reach not just the youth, but also anyone who is lost.  As he states, �Now is the time to reach those that are out there lost spiritually and physically.  Only because I know that God can change everything in anybody�s life if he can change mine.�
