"They are scared of you, Paulo," Danny laughed. Paulo smirked.
"Then let's give them something to be afraid of!" Paulo yelled encouragingly. Everyone cheered and charged on the vampires, Ashley Olsen still laying on the ground unconscious.
"YEAH!" Greg yelled, picking up his crossbow and roundhouse kicking a vampire in the face. The vampire stumbled back, and Greg aimed his crossbow. He fired, and the metal stake slammed into the vampire just as he stumbled into the kitchen. The vampire didn't even get a chance to shriek as it tripped and dusted before it hit the ground.
"Let's go!" Danny said, jumping into the air with his crossbow and shooting an arrow at the vampires that were hurdled in the wall. The vampires knew now they also had to fight. They shrieked and charged after them.
"HYAH!" A voice came from the direction of the kitchen, as Allen dived into the air with his jagged sword and slashed at the nearest vampire. The vampire turned to dust quickly, and fell to the ground.
"Danny! Catch!" Aaron said, tossing the silver crossbow into the air. Danny tossed his crossbow to Shaun as he ran in and grabbed his new one. It had looked heavy, but it was extremely light.
"What's this for?" Danny asked.
"Fighting!" Francisco said as he ran in with a shining silver double axe with a built in matching silver stake at the end. Chrissy giggled as she came in and through her Xena frisbee. It made a screech as it flew through the air and decapitated 3 vampires before returning to her and decapitating a fourth. They became part of the wind with their dust particles. Danny aimed his new crossbow, and fired. The silver stake shot through the air, slammed into one vampire and knocked him into another. The vampire shrieked and fell back onto another vampire, in which the stake left the first and went through him. The process repeated one last time with the dusting of all three vampires before the stake pulled back up into the air and came back for Danny.
"OH SHIT!" Danny yelled, grabbing the stake around it's base just before it hit him. He smiled. This thing was cool! He loaded the crossbow once more, but wouldn't have to use it. Francisco flipped into the air and slammed his axe into the neck of one of the last vampires, then jabbed the handle into the last one. It shrieked, and slammed into the wall. Both vampires dusted. The room was silent.
"Damn! Where'd you get that shit?" Ashley Lewis asked Francisco. He smiled.
"The room right in the kitchen. There was only four. It said to give it to the strongest of the group. They sweet as hell, ain't they?" Allen chimed in. Shia nodded.
"Super cool, so where are your Samurai swords?" he asked. Lalaine and Melissa walked in with them in their hands, having left their original weapons in the kitchen.
"Oh..." Shia said, disappointed. He had wanted one.
"So what now?" Ashley Lewis asked them.
"Well, it's probably 4:40 now. We just looked at the clock in there a while ago. We got about 3 hours before the sun rises?" Francisco asked.
"It's summer time still," Chris said, "The sun rises at 6:30 here."
"Ok, so like an hour and 50 minutes then," Greg said. Chris nodded.
"So what now?" Ashley Lewis repeated.
"PAULO!" Aaron yelled, running over to him. He had just now noticed that he was alive.
"Hey, Aaron," Paulo said. Aaron and Paulo were damn near best friends.
"I thought you were dead," Aaron said as he hugged him. Aaron then pulled away and looked up at him.
"I almost died. I'm here now," Paulo said. Aaron smiled.
"So what now?" Ashley Lewis repeated, growing irritated.
"Well, we gotta wait ‘til Ashley Olsen wakes up," Danny said.
"Don't bother..." Amanda said as she felt her neck, "If there's one thing I learned in Health it's how to tell pulses. She doesn't have one."
"NOO! NOOOO!" Mary Kate screamed as she fell to her knees, dropping her weapon. She covered her eyes with her hands and started balling. Hilary walked over to her and comforted her.
"Well, Hilary's not feeling so hot either," Chris added, pointing at her arms, "She got bit."
"Did she get sired?" Francisco asked him.
"Why don't you ask her!" Lalaine screamed, backing away from Hilary and Mary Kate. Hilary was deep into Mary Kate's throat, and Mary Kate's face was blank. Hilary floated into the air with Mary Kate in her mouth, tore out of the room and out of the sky dome.
"DAMMIT! I knew it!" Danny yelled.
"When she said she couldn't hold her axe!" Greg agreed.
"Fuck...our numbers are decreasing fast..." Francisco said, looking around. Out of 23 people, there were only 15 people left.
"The...basement..." Allen brought up, "We gotta get down there. Gotta get rid of these vampires..."
"You still want us to go down there?" Melissa asked him, "Fuck you! We're all gonna die down there!"
"Maybe not! We just got a huge advantage!" Francisco reminded her, "These weapons! They are made to kill vampires! They even aide us more because they are powerful themselves!" He raised his axe into the sky.
"Right, so everyone else is gonna die except you guys!" Shaun pointed out.
"No! You don't know that! We don't have eyes in the back of our heads," Chrissy said, "But we do have common sense. If we're gonna win this thing we have to go down there. Otherwise, we might as well have left when we left the concert because the same thing is still going to happen. We may have killed about 50-70 vampires today but there are hundreds under there now!"
"All the more reason to keep our bodies above the ground!" Amanda complained.
"Are you guys seriously trying to go into this again?" Shia asked.
"Why don't we call the police?" Lalaline asked, brining up the fact that nobody had thought of doing that.
"Because...of course...the police ARE vampires...everybody in this town is probably a vampire by now. Everybody but us!" Danny said.
"Why don't we keep it that way?" Rachel asked.
"Because we have to end this tonight!" Allen told her. She scoffed.
"Fine...I give up...you're the most powerful ones, right? We don't stand a chance arguing with you!" Rachel complained.
"Just shut up!" Paulo told her, "You've been complaining all day. If you don't want to go then just stay here and wait for us, but when we come back upstairs you better have an escape route planned for us." Rachel looked at him.
"Umm...," she said, "so when are we going?"
"We can sit here and rest a half an hour or so. That way we don't have to stay down there too long. Then, we gotta go down there and HURRY and get upstairs. We have to be upstairs while it's still kinda dark. If the sun is blazing, we lose," Danny said, "They won't come up if the sun is already out."
"So let's rest then," Aaron said. Everyone agreed. The dining room table was broken from all the fighting, but the chair were still scattered around the room. Everyone went around to find themselves a chair, and when they did, they sat down and closed their eyes. Resting a bit but not being able to go to sleep. It was too much trauma going on to actually sleep. But to rest...yes, that felt good.
