"Ok, a contact I have on the internet traced him to an old abandoned hospital where he does his cremation. It's ratty and probably is covered in cockroaches and spiders. So...who wants to come?" Danny grinned to everyone. Francisco raised his hand. Lalaine looked around, and when she saw no one else going after Francisco, she also raised hers. Aaron joined in. And upon seeing Aaron join in, Chrissy's hand jumped into the air.
"Ok. We leave in about...now," Danny said, "Did you order that Rent-A-Car?" he added to Krysta. She nodded.
"Ok, then, we're walking to the Rent-A-Car store. It's a few blocks from here. It's a big blue van; enough seats for all of us. We'll be back after we figure out how to stop this thing. Let's go." said Danny, as everyone stood up and left Allen and Francisco's dormitory. Down the hall they walked, and then outside into the streets. They walked up the block in groups; Francisco, Aaron, and Chrissy. And Lalaine and Danny.
"Lalaine...are you ok?" Danny asked he noticed she seemed to be deep in thought. She looked at him and forced a smile. A smile Danny could tell was fake.
"Lalaine...what's wrong?" Danny asked her. With a sniffle from her nose, she responded.
"I-I don't want to die..."
"You're not gonna die. I'm gonna make sure of that, Lalaine. We just need to figure out how to beat this once and for all, and-"
"But what if it's not that easy? When Aaron escaped his death, he opened the rift once more and it came back after him. And Kim and Tom. Why...what would have happened if you hadn't intervened? We would have gone without having to look over our shoulders forever. It would have been so much easier."
"But you said you didn't want to die. What changed your mind?"
"I'm scared, alright! I don't want to lose everyone around me that I call friends and end up being the only one left. I'm already without a family, but now I won't have friends either? What will I be living for?"
"As an example that we can escape death. We're all gonna die eventually, just some sooner than others. But if they know we can beat it, without having to think about it coming back for us, then everyone can live much longer without experiencing those dramatic deaths that Death wants us to experience." Lalaine went quiet. She didn't want to talk about it anymore. Danny respected her decision, and fell silent as well.
Minutes later, they arrived at the Rent-A-Center. Danny walked in with Lalaine, and came out with the van. Lalaine was in the passenger seat. Aaron and the others hopped in the back, and they were off toward the abandoned hospital.

"What are we gonna do while they are gone?" Krysta asked.
"Spin the bottle!" Bryant yelled suddenly.
"Truth or dare!" Allen joined in. The girls giggled at the two and decided Truth or Dare would be nice.

"This is it?" Chrissy said with disgust. Danny beamed at her and nodded. She stuck her finger in her mouth and pretended to gag at Aaron. He chuckled.
"Well...let's get out then..." Danny said at last. They all followed after him as he hopped out the car and walked into the hospital. He looked around, going down the dirty steps into the basement where the light of fire was shown.
"H-Hello?" Lalaine asked. No response. They all got into the basement, and looked around. Where was this man?
"Hello, Lalaine!" a voice came from behind them. Lalaine snapped around with a gasp as the man stood there with a big smile on his face. It was a creepy sort of voice, but ironically, he spoke like the nicest man.
"How do you know my name?" Lalaine asked him. He smiled and tilted his head to the right.
"Because he knows a lot about death. Too much if you ask me," Danny said.
"Hey! What's my name?" Chrissy said with a giggle.
"Dumbass!" the man responded. Chrissy looked hurt and turned to Aaron. He hid his laughter and embraced her, silently laughing over her head.
"Let's get to business, shall we?" Francisco said, defending Chrissy slightly.
"Fine by me," the man said.
"You know death is coming for us. You knew it was coming for Kim and Tom, as well as Clear. Tell me what to do to defeat it," Danny told him.
"There are no escapes in death...no secret passageways...no off ramps. It's in-escapable," the man sneered, his voice suddenly turning cold.
"That's BS and you know it, dammit. So tell me how to defeat it. Now!" Aaron yelled at him. He was growing tired of this man's game. The man grinned.
"Fiesty...ok, then. There is one way that is a possibility it won't continue to come after you. The one that started it must die," the man said, glaring at Danny. Danny's heart plummeted. He had to die. In order to stop everything, he needed to die.
"No!" Lalaine screamed, "There has to be another way! A way that does not include dying! If we bring him back, will it work?"
"Of course..." the man said, "...not. Now, if you'll excuse me, Aaron, I need to get back to work..." He pushed pass Aaron and walked into the door behind him, shutting the door quietly. Aaron looked at Danny.
"You die and all of this comes to an end," Aaron said.
"Something is not right...I don't think that was true," Francisco said.
"He said it himself!" Chrissy shrieked.
"Shut up for a minute!" Lalaine screeched, grabbing her hair roughly as if she was going to pull it out. "God dammit! I'm not losing you!" she grabbed Danny and shook him roughly.
"You don't have to. There has to be another way!" Danny said.
"Maybe if we keep intervening..." Francisco started.
"It's worth a try! Let's go! We gotta get the others and leave town." Danny instructed. With a nod, they all ran upstairs and out of the hospital.
