After sitting quite some time in ponder, the doorbell rang. I stood up and
walked to it. I answered it, seeing Greg. I let him in and heard him say, Hey!
Happy Birthday! He handed me a gift and said, You cant open it till tomorrow
though. I walked to the kitchen to set the present on the kitchen table and
joined Greg in the living room. He was holding a picture of him, Chris, Frankie,
Kelsey, Matt and I. He was smiling. I sat down next to him, realizing that he
had a liking look on his face. I gasped, You like Kelsey!

I blushed, saying, Nothing gets past you. Jesse smiled, making a proud face
and then said, How long have you liked her? I shrugged, not sure of how long
it had been. I knew it was definitely a long time though. I finally replied, A
while. Probably since I first met her. Shes very pretty. Jesses smile grew
and said, How about I put in a word for you. It was a statement, not a
question. I shrugged, saying unsurely, I dont know.

I was going to put a word in for Greg whether he liked it or not. He was
uncertain, I could tell. I changed the subject, seeing his face become worried.
I suggested, in thought once again, What do you think Kelsey got me? Greg
immediately said, A car! I laughed, although I already knew she hadnt gotten
me a car, I said, No, I already asked her if she got me one. Her excuse was she
wasnt made of money. Greg thought for a second and said, Maybe she got you
one of those friendship key chain things. I shook my head, No, she got me that
five years ago, for my eleventh birthday. She never doubles what she gets.
Something about not being a good friend.
