When Kelsey's best guy friend, Jesse, throws his sweet sixteen, she has the hardest time buying a great gift for her long time friend. She goes to his party and ends up falling in love with one of Jesse's best guy friends, Greg. Everything is going great until Kelsey becomes diagnosed with cancer and Jesse becomes stuck in the middle of it all. Secrets are revealed and friendships are torn. Will Kelsey survive her cancer? Will Jesse hate everyone for ganging up on him and feeling sorry for him? Will Greg ever forgive himself for a secret that he's been hiding since he's met Kelsey?

*~Kelsey Anders~* a 16 year old teenage girl whose had a crush on Greg for forever, but can't get enough courage up to talk to him. She has brown hair, blue eyes and has grown to the height of 5 foot and 2 inches. Kelsey's best friend is Jesse McCartney; who lives right behind her.
*~Greg Raposo~* an 18 year old adolescent boy, has reached the height of 5 foot 10 inches. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He's friends with Kelsey's best guy friend, Jesse. He's also very good friend of Frankie, Matt and Chris.
*~Jesse McCartney~* a 16 year old teenage boy that is best friends with Kelsey. He has blond hair, and green eyes. He reaches a height of 5 foot 7 inches. Kelsey is like a sister to him. Jesse lives in the house behind Kelsey.
Minor Main Characters~
*~Chris Trousdale~* a teenage boy at the age of 18. He is 5 foot 8 inches and has hazelnut brown eyes and light brown hair with blond tips. He's a close friend of Jesse, Greg, Matt and Frankie and has met Kelsey through Jesse's fifteenth birthday party.
*~Matt Ballinger~* an 18 year old boy at the height of 5 foot 5 inches. He has blue eyes, and light blond hair. He's a very good friend of Frankie, Greg, Chris and Jesse. He's a close friend of Kelsey, but met her through Jesse's fifteenth birthday party.
*~Frankie Galasso~* an 18 year old boy at the height of 5 foot 7.5 inches. He has dark brown hair and green eyes. He's a close friend of Greg, Jesse, Chris and Matt. Met Kelsey through Jesse's fifteenth birthday party.
