Kian was sitting next to Shiri's bed for another 30 minutes, when she started talking again. "Ki..." she said, quietly.
"Right here." Kian held her hand.
"I..." she paused. Kian looked at her. "I..." she said again, then stopped.
"You what?"
No answer.
"Come on Shir, don't give up now...don't leave me...come on. Fight it, Shiri! Fight it!" he cried. "I can't lose you..."
"TAXI!" Shane yelled when they got out of the hospital.
A taxi stopped and Shane and Diana got in. "To the airport please." he said to the driver.
Diana was still holding Shane's hand. She still had this scared look in her eyes. "Shane...you think she's gonna be okay?" she suddenly asked.
"Of course she is." he wrapped his arm around her. Diana put her head on Shane's shoulder.
20 minutes later they got to the airport. Georgina, Kerry and Dylan were already waiting outside.
"Shane! How are you?" Kerry called.
"Doing fine. What about you?"
"Not too bad. Where's Bryan? He said he'll come to pick us up." Kerry looked at Shane.
"He had something to take care of." he said, then remembered Diana was with him. "Oh, sorry! Kerry, Georgina, this is Diana."
"Nice to meet you." They shook hands.
"Yeah...likewise." Diana said.
"Okay we better get back to the hospital now." Shane said.
"Hospital?" Georgina asked, puzzled. "Why? What happened?"
"I'll explain on the way." Shane said and started walking.
"WHAT?!" Louise screamed.
"It was Kian and Shane in the car..." Nicky tried to defend himself.
"And where are they now?" Louis asked, looking at Bryan.
"Shane went to the airport to get Georgina, Kerry and Dylan and Kian's still at the hospital." Bryan answered.
"I see...okay, you can have the rest of the day off.."
"Great, thanks!" Mark called.
Kian was still holding Shiri's hand.
"Kian.....I..." she whispered.
Just then the doctor came in. "That's it. I'm afraid you're gonna have to leave now." She told Kian.
"No! I'm not going anywhere!" He cried. "She talked to me!"
"Listen to me, she's in a coma. She can't talk. You were probably dreaming."
"She was talking to me...she tried to say something just before you came in." He told her.
"Mister, if you won't leave now I'm gonna have to call security."
"Please, give me just one minute. I'll prove to you she talked."
The doctor thought for a second, then said "Okay, only one minute. But then you're gonna have to go."
Kian turned back to Shiri. "Come on Shiri, talk to me."
Nothing happened.
"You're wasting my time, now go and wait outside."
Kian got up and was about to leave when Shiri call him again.
"Ki...."
Kian turned back to her. "I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere..." He brushed his fingers through her hair.
"I love you...." She whispered weakly.
Tears were rolling down his cheeks. "I love you too." he moved closer to her and kissed her lips. "You'll get better soon...I promise you. I'm not gonna leave you...I won't let you go..." he whispered to her ear. "I love you.." he put his head down and cried, and after a while he fell asleep.
Kerry, Dylan and Georgina took a room in the nearest hotel and Shane and Diana got back to the hospital.
Diana entered Shiri's room, as there were no doctors around, and found Kian sleeping with his head on Shiri's bed. It was clear he'd been crying.
"Kian..." She gently shook him.
Kian opened his eyes and looked at Diana. "Hi.."
"Are you okay?" She asked, concerned.
"Yeah...fine..." He mumbled.
"Okay..." Diana said. "Can you give me a couple of minutes alone with my sister?"
"Yeah...okay..." Kian said, then got up from his chair and started walking, heading the door. He looked back at Shiri, then walked out.
"Hey mate." Kian said when he saw Shane sitting outside.
"Hey...what's up?" Bryan said with a cheerful voice, forgetting about Shiri for a second.
Kian sighed and took a seat. "I'm so stupid." He mumbled.
"Don't say that. It's not your fault. It could have happened to anyone."
Just then the doctor came in to Shiri's room to check on her. She spotted Diana next to Shiri's bed. "Miss..." the doctor started.
Diana looked at her, with tears in her eyes.
"I'm sorry, you can't stay here." she told her.
"Please..." Diana cried. "I'm begging you. Let me stay with my sister.."
The doctor looked at Diana. "Ok, but only till the doctors will come to start the surgery."
Diana got up from her seat. "Surgery??"
