"Oh you didn't.... I'm sorry I just thought you knew."
"Shir..." He quietly said then walked to her.
Shiri saw him standing near the door. Tears started rolling down her cheeks. "I'm sorry Kian...I'm so sorry." She then said.
Kian walked over to her and sat next to her. "Don't cry.." He wiped her tears but new ones came out.
"I should have told you. I didn't mean to hide it from you."
Kian held her tight. "It's not your fault..."
Just then Shane came in. "I'm gonna call Di..." He said.
Then Kian pulled away from Shiri and looked at her. "Shir I didn't mean to kiss that girl." He told her.
"Ki, I..." She tried to say something.
"No, let me finish." He cut her. Shiri just looked at him. "It was my ex girlfriend and she just came and kissed me. I have no feelings for her, you know you're the one I love and I would never dream of cheating on you."
Shiri smiled a bit. "I know... and I love you too."
Kian leant closer and kissed her.
Sonia got up from the couch. "I'm getting sleepy..." She started walking towards her room.
Then the phone rang. Diana was gonna get up to get it.
"I'll get it." Sonia said before Diana got up. "Hello?" She said as she picked up the phone.
As Sonia's eyes grew bigger Diana got worried. She got up from the couch now and stood next to Sonia. "What happened?" She asked concerned.
"We'll be there as soon as possible." She hung up the phone.
Diana looked at Sonia. "What happened??" She asked again, this time a bit louder.
"Something's wrong with Shir..." Sonia started. "She's in the hospital."
The nurse walked in the room. She looked at Shiri. "It seems to me you're feeling better."
"Yes I do." Shiri replied, holding Kian's hand. "When will I be able to get out of here? I've had enough of hospitals for a lifetime!" She said anxious. "No offence." She grinned.
The nurse laughed a bit. "Don't worry, I know it's not that pleasant to be in a hospital. You can go as soon as the doctor gets the medicines for you."
"Medicines?" Kian made a funny face. "What for?"
"Just to keep her strong and make sure she won't faint again. Nothing to be worried about." She explained. Kian nodded. "The doctor will be with you in a minute." She said and left the room.
"God, Kian." Shiri said, looking in his eyes. "We could have had a little baby... a small thing we created together. I can't believe he's dead..." Tears filled her eyes.
Kian held her close to him as a tear fell down his cheek. "It's gonna be okay..." He whispered.
Diana and Sonia rushed getting in the hospital. They got to the floor where Shiri was in and spotted Shane sitting outside.
"There it is." Sonia said.
Shane jumped from his seat and looked at them "Hey Di..."
Diana ignored him and went to the room where Shiri stayed in. "Shir are you okay?? What happened?" She asked, pushing Kian away.
"I lost my baby..." She replied.
"You lost what baby?" Sonia asked puzzled.
Shiri looked at Sonia, remembering she never told her about her pregnancy. "I got pregnant."
"You..." Sonia looked at Shiri confused. "You...?" She asked looking at Kian now.
Just then the doctor came in. "Shiri?" He looked at her.
"Yea?" She looked back at him.
"Hi, I'm Dr. Lopez. Here are your medicines." He said handing it to her.
"Oh... thanks." She took them from him.
"If you need anyone to talk to about what happened we have a great team of..." The doctor started.
"Shrinks?" Shiri cut him off. "No thanks."
"I think it'd be really good for you to talk to someone about...." He tried again.
"I have lots of people to talk to." She said, getting up from bed. "Am I free to go now?"
Dr. Lopez sighed. "Yeah I guess so." He walked towards the door. "Good luck." He said, and left.
Shane stood by the door. "Di, Kerry's on the phone for you." He said.
"Kerry?" Diana looked at him. "Hmm... I'll be right back Shir." She said and walked out.
Diana looked at Shane puzzled. "Where's the phone?"
"In my pocket." He replied.
"Huh?" Diana was even more confused. "Kerry...?" She was gonna ask but Shane cut her.
"There is no call from Kerry. I lied to get you to come here so we could talk."
"You lied? Again??" Diana got upset.
"We need to talk. Please." He said, looking into her eyes.
Diana sighed. "I'm listening." She took a seat.
Shiri was getting ready to go. "Ki, can you take me back home?" She asked him.
"Yeah, sure..." He said back at her, then looked at Sonia. "Hmm Sonia... can I have a minute alone with Shiri?"
"Sure. I'll wait outside..." Sonia said and left the room.
Kian adjusted his posture as he professed his feelings. "Look, everybody thinks it's fun and game to be parading around with beautiful models and extravagant parties. But at the end of the day, all I ever would want is to be with the one person who was made just for me. I would trade everything that I have just to spend five minutes with someone who looks beyond my flaws and loves me no matter what. Just someone to be with, not just as a soul mate or lover. And not to just compliment me, but to make me better. I don't know if I'll be able to make you happy forever. But know this, I will do everything in my power to make you smile, to drive your fears away, and to kiss your tears goodbye. You're the one I've been waiting for. You're the one in my dreams each night. You're the one I've been calling out to. The past is the past, but the future is ours..."
Kian paused and brushed a strand of hair away from Shiri's face. As she looked up, Kian kneeled down.
"All that I am is because of you. You're the one that I've been longing for my whole life. If you will take me as your friend, companion, lover...I will be yours and yours only until my dying. I would be the happiest lad in this whole entire universe if you take me in as your husband. Will you marry me?"
