I figured since it is Graduation time I would put some Knobel  Graduates on here that was in the Clay County Courier paper.
Baccalaureate services for the Knobel High School Senior Class of 1960-61 will be held Sunday, April 30, at 2:00pm in the Knobel gymnasium.
Father Louis V. Stemac, who is pastor of St. George's Church in Knobel, will give the Baccalaureate sermon.
The Commencement Exercises will be held Wednesday evening, May 3, at 8:00pm in the High School gymnasium.
Dr. Carl Reng, who is president of Arkansas State College, will give the Commencement address.
Dr. Reng has been active in the educational field for a number of years. He attended Buena Vista College in Iowa where he obtained his BA degree in 1931. He earned his Master's Degree from Drake University in 1940. Dr. Reng was employed by the University of Arkansas where he was in charge of school administration on the graduate level. He became President of Arkansas State in 1951.
Graduating from Knobel High School this year are: Barbara Allen, Roger Catt, Linda Darleen Border, Farrell Roberts, Lonnie McElyea, Larry Walker, Sammy Hewlett, Jack Arnold, Georgia Barksdale, John Lamar Gravat, Donald Joe Moore, Patricia Fox, Joe Arnold, Larry Cottle, Lucille Young, Judy Garver, Patricia Fairchild, Elaine Wilcoxson, Vern Young, Jerry Cottle and Gordie Crabb.
Jim Austin is the class sponsor. P.L Pratt is High School principal, and R.E Pogue is Knobel Superintendent.
