Here is where I will post the letters I have recieved about the page with the permission of the senders so that the Knippa community can email them also, since they are probably old friends.
2/22/02 Amanda- Please email me when you post the pictures of the Rock Quarry. My Dad worked down there in the 1950's and wanted to look at it again. He also remembers Two Brother that owned a gas station and I believe the Western Auto Store. He thought one name might have been Ben. This was the store that I got my first bike at. He stayed at the Kincaid Hotel when he was there before awe moved there. I believe he said it was in Uvalde. I have a school picture of a buddy & on the picture it was signed

This was school yar 1950-51, the good old days. I also lived in Sabinal for awhile. All I can remember about it was we lived in an apartment next to a field where someone raised goats. What an aroma!!! LOL!!! The couple that lived next door had the last name Carson. They had a small daughter who name was Polly. I had a friend there whose parents managed a Rest HOme. I can't recall his name. You do nice work on your site. I'll see what picture I can come with for you!

3/09/02 Amanda- I am just killing time here at work and brought up my old hometown of Knippa.... I lived there till I was 8 or 9 before moving to the midwest... Remember my 1st and 2nd teacher, Mrs. ancock and I also had my 3rd grade teachers name on the tip of my tounge but for some reason it's not coming to me. If i would have stuck around I would have graduated with the class of 1974. Anyways, thanks for the memories....and if you  get a chance, maybe you could put in a picture of the Frio River, both when it's wet and dry, and when it is really a river!!!
