BACKLASH
Hucksters always backlash on both color of jokers. In fact, pulling both jokers in the same draw could make it worse. However, with the Old Hand edge a huckster will only backlash when she pulls the black joker. The backlash will still be worse if an Old Hand pulls both jokers. If a character has both Old Hand and Bad Kharma (both from Hucksters & Hexes) then she gains the card pulling benefit of Old Hand but will backlash on both jokers as described for Bad Kharma, and still net 2 points during character creation.

STARTING HEXES & TRICKS
At character creation, a Huckster gets a number of Hexes equal to the number of points she put into her Hexslingin' aptitude, plus she automatically gets one Trick in addition to these. Starting Hexes can be converted into Tricks at a rate of one Hex per two Tricks.
So, a Huckster starting with a Hexslingin' of 4 will have 4 Hexes and 1 Trick, but can reduce her number of Hexes to 3 to increase her number of Tricks to 3. Or could start with no Hexes and just have 9 Tricks.
