The main hobby that I have is collecting bears. I love anything that has to do with bears. My room is filled with them. My parents keep telling me that if I bring one more bear home, then I will have to move out to make room for them. I must have around 1,000 different kinds of bears. They range from different beanie baby bears to the bears you find at Wal-mart every Christmas. I also have a lot of posters hanging on my walls that depict different kinds of bears. On my dresser at home, I also have an assortment of different ceramic bears and other figurines. I have even brought some of my bears to school with me. I was able to fit at lest 20 different bears in my small dorm room this year. I even have a nice blanket with a bear on it covering my bed to keep me warm at night. When I get older, I plan on setting aside one room in my house for all of my bears. I figure that if I have one room, then I will be able to display a good portion of them so that people will be able to see the vast number of bears that I have and admire the different styles. My parents tease me and say that there is no way that I can go anywhere that has a bear and not be able to spot it a mile away. I guess that just goes to prove how much I love bears.

Another one of my hobbies is music. I enjoy listening to a lot of different music, as well as singing. I have been a part of school choirs since I was in the sixth grade. I am currently a member of Heidelberg's College Community Chorus. I enjoy singing in this group because it is comprised of community members as well as the college students. Through this choir, I gathered a new appreciation of working with others, especially people from the community. I have had two main choir teachers throughout my nine years of choir. My middle school and high school teacher was Mrs. Mason. She helped me during those years to develop my voice and appreciation of singing with a choir. She was always willing to help me with any kind of problem that I might have had and work with me. She exposed me to a lot of different kinds of music that I otherwise would not have been exposed to. Now that I'm at college, Dr. Schuetz has helped to further my exposure to different music and expand my knowledge. Dr. Schuetz has also taken time to help me if I ever needed help and is willing to talk to me about a lot of different things. These two people helped to further my appreciation of music. Besides singing in choir, I also love to sing along with popular songs from the radio. I have a broad range of music that I like to listen too. I will listen to anything from soft rock to alternative. I have also gained an appreciation for country music and Christian music recently. Some of my favorite groups and singers include Everclear, Audio Adrenaline, FFH, Richard Marx, Back Street Boys, Garth Brooks, Savage Garden, and many others.

Another hobby of mine is bowling. I love to bowl. It's the main sport that I participate in. It's great to go bowling with a group of friends to forget about things going on in the real world. It's especially fun when you are able to participate in glow bowling. I used to bowl on a league when I was in middle school and the first few years of high school. It was a lot of fun. I usually got to go to different tournament because I was one of the few females in my age group in the league that I participated in. My family also likes to bowl. This was always a favorite thing for my family to do at times. We would go bowling at times to have fun. My family also loves to play cards. When I was growing up, a favorite thing to do on Sunday mornings was to sit around the kitchen table playing cards. We know a lot of different cards games and are willing to teach others how to play them. Even my uncle and my grandmother get involved in playing cards. Most major holidays, my family gets together and play some type of card game. Even if we are alone, we know enough solitaire games to keep us busy and occupied for hours on end. If any of you want to learn, I'd be willing to help you learn any game that I know how to play. I'm also willing to learn any new cards games that people know.

Those are my main hobbies. I also enjoy hanging out with friends and reading. I am an avid reader. I try to read whenever I have free time, which now that I'm in college, isn't very often. But when I do find time, I usually read a lot of books. I am always trying to find more books that will expand my mind and keep me guessing. I enjoy most mystery books. They allow me to try and figure out what is going to happen. It also helps me to expand my mind, which will be useful, when I become a lawyer. When I am at home, my friend and I like to get together and hang out. We will either go over to one of our houses and watch movies or go to the mall and shop. When we get together, it's hard telling what we are bound to get into. For the most part, it doesn't matter what we do, all that matters is that we are together and that we have fun.
