The Institute of Psychiatry is a center dedicated to provide high quality psychiatric care and it is a highly specialized educational research Institute provides the highest quality education. It started this service in July 1990 and since that time, it offers specialized care in response to public needs and enhanced by education, research and technology.
The Institute of Psychiatry is a short-term stay hospital that belongs to Ain Shams University Hospitals.
Its central location in the heart of great Cairo makes it easily accessible for all areas of the great city. Moreover,� its services extend to include patients from other cities.
The Institute of Psychiatry was the first mental health hospital affiliated to a university hospitals compound. The establishment of the Institute of Psychiatry was a great pioneering step, which has offered the mentally ill a chance to be taken care under the supervision of highly qualified professionals.
The institute was selected to be a WHO collaborating center for research and training in mental health.
Our comprehensive and confidential inpatient and outpatient services emphasize total patient health including mental, social, physical and spiritual well being.
Our goal is not only to treat the disorder but also to help psychiatric patients to confront and overcome their disabilities.
