Hobbies and Interests: I play clarinet to grade 8 and tenor saxophone to approximately grade 6 (no exams taken). I play principal clarinet in the Abraham Darby Showband and Abraham Darby Senior Woodwind Ensemble, and 1st Tenor in the Abraham Darby Jazz Band and Sax Group. I love to read, my favourite book being Jane Eyre. I love writing, but can only seem to do it when relaxed and calm. I love to sing, it being my main form of stress relief. I have recently acquired a keen interest and definite taste in politics, having fairly left wing views. I like to debate (see Senior Debating).
A bit more about who I am: I am a generally optimistic and happy person, but have suffered depression twice in my life, fortunately with no terrible side effects and no damage to my self-esteem. I am in general confident, and will go into most situations, prepared or not, with a seemingly cool attitude. I rarely have the need or time to hate any aspect of myself, and though I over-analyse and am sometimes hypocritical, I have fairly good views of who I am.
