The Kentucky Motorcycle Association
was formed in 1982 as the Kentucky Biker Association. The name was changed
in 1990 during reincorporation to the Kentucky Motorcycle Association/K.B.A.
Also included in our corporate umbrella is the name ABATE of Kentucky. The
members of this association through its grassroots efforts seek to effect
positive changes in the political lanscape as it pertains to motorcyclists.
We are Dedicated to Protecting the Rights of All Kentucky Motorcyclists.
The Mission
The mission of the KMA/KBA is: "Dedicated to Protecting the Rights
of All Kentucky Motorcyclists" It was established with the following
purposes:
To monitor legislation on the Federal, State and local levels.
To foster brotherhood and mutual benefits for its members
To act as liaison between motorcyclists and governmental authorities,
insurance companies, and other organizations
Report the facts about issues concerning motorcyclists and counter any
biased news reporting concerning motorcyclists
Promote motorcycle safety and awareness for both the motorcycling and
non-motorcycling public
Discourage motorcycle theft
Present and report a positive public image of motorcycling in Kentucky
and the nation.
