Phase 3 - Butt Blocks
Assembly took place over the Christmas holidays. There's a few pics here if it seems slow...it's worth it.
Ok step 1... This part was quite easy. All I am doing here is attaching the butt blocks to the two pieces that make up what will be the bottom of the canoe. I laid down some wax paper on the table, clamped the two bottom pieces together so they "butted" up against one another. A generous application of epoxy resin in between the pieces before putting them together helps though. I applied epoxy on the place where the butt block would be attached and then all ovr the edge of the butt block when it was in place.

A couple (4) bottles of windshield washer fluid for a gravity clamp and that's it.
Here's a blurry closeup of the bottles in question.
Same procedure for the sides of the canoe.  This is so easy.
Sneak preview of the next phase. You won't be able to wait to put it together. What you can't see here is clamps everywhere holding it together. I had to do it to see what it would look like.
