There will be further updates here once I can get hold of the latest KL team news. Other than that, there's not much to report here other than few weeks ago, our team blanked reigning Malaysia Cup champion, Selangor 3-0 in a friendly match. On who will be donning KL colours in this new season, is another matter which I will try to sort out asap.
Webmaster made it to catch KL's 1st ever match in Premier 2, the opener against Kelantan TNB on 10th Feb 2003 and saw the team battled to a 0-0 draw. The team certainly had some chances, in particular thru strikers, Ivan Yusuf, Cheah Kean Send and later thru Slovakian Martin Filipak but Kelantan TNB's keeper proved to be a stumbling block. Alas, it was a fair game and the team does look as one young team full of potentials. Next match, v Armed Forces on 15th Feb.

KL, FA Cup champs in 1999, went out in the 1st round of the FA Cup this season bowing out after a 1-1 draw in Kuala Terengganu gave the east coast team a comfy 4-2 aggregate. Earlier, KL went down 1-3 in Cheras in the 1st leg. On a brighter note, the team continued its fine start in the league by beating Brunei Sultanate 3-2 in its latest league match. This is the 3rd matches for the young KL team and certainly augurs well for the city team despite having to play with many young players drafted from the President Cup. In its 2nd match earlier on 15th Feb, KL buried the army men of the Armed Forces team with a fine 3-0 win with goals scored by Ridzuan Shah, Safiee Sali & Slovakian Martin Filipak. The 3rd one especially was a 30 yards screamer from Martin, much to the joy of the die-hard KL supporters who turned up that nite.
