I am a senior at Schreiber High School who is graduating in January. I am graduating in January because in reality I was supposed to graduate last June. I did not graduate because of an illness that kept me from coming to school. I could not make up the work that was assigned to me while I was absent, so I must pass the first semester of this year and I graduate in January. I was born In Manhasset, and I grew up in Port Washington. I have an older brother named Steven, a younger sister named Christine and another younger brother named Daniel. My sister and my younger brother both attend Schreiber High School. Growing up I had a cat that my father named Putska Wutska, which if you translate into English, means pussycat in Czechoslovakian. I came up with the idea that I would grow up to be a Veterinarian.
Now in the present day I work at the Manhasset Animal Hospital. I have been working there for about two years now and I am pursuing my goal to become a Veterinarian. While working at the animal hospital I learn everything that I need to know to become a Veterinarian. All I need now is the schooling to back it up. I know how to do surgeries, how to know when something is wrong with an animal, and what to do when you find something wrong. Although I cannot perform surgeries because I don’t have a license, I still know what I am doing. Other things that I enjoy doing are spending time with my family and my boyfriend, who I have been with for the past year and a half. Hanging out with my friends. And Going out to the city and going to clubs every once in a while.
Goals that I have for the future are to keep working at the Manhasset Animal Hospital until I go to college. I am still deciding on where to go, there are not too many vet schools in New York, to tell you the truth there is only one, and that is Cornell. I know that I cannot get into Cornell, so I am might go to SUNY DELHI in upstate New York. There they have a Vet Tech program for two years, and then you can transfer to Cornell. So as for my plans for the future they are kind of all planned out. The only thing is that I hope for it to happen the way that it is planned.
