The basic idea is that this is a story about a guy who's an architect, but he doesn't limit his thinking to just his job, but instead life itself. Where most architects would have a vision for the project they're working on, the main character, Garret, has a vision for the whole Earth. This vision is that he is unhappy with the way the world has turned out and so he decides he's going to restart the human race by means of killing everyone on Earth except himself and elite few whom he feels are model citizens in his mind. So he basically gets this idea, but decides that before he's going to restart the human race, he's going to explore their mind and see how it works by trying out different things such as acting like God and seeing how they react. Unfortunately he starts to get carried away and it takes awhile for him to remember that he's not actually God and to get back on track with his original plan. The whole book is a story told from the future after he's already restarted the human race. So yea... |
