He was considered one of the best in his field and people expected great things from him in the future considering his expertise at such a young age. Garret had graduated from the University of California Davis June, 2002 and began his career as an architect by early August of the same year. But the truth was, he had been an architect his whole life. For being an architect wasn't just a job for Garret, but life. The whole world was the project and he was "the architect". There were no others besides him.
Garret was born into a family of four. His mother, Jill, was the typical stay-at-home mom who never left the house really except to buy groceries or when the family would go on an outing. She was a practicing Catholic and believed strongly in her faith. No one else in her family would even acknowledge Catholicism in their lives. They didn't believe and never would believe. Yet not by any fault of her own. It was her husband's fault. Jill had married into money because her parents felt it was the best for her to be safe and secure financially. The man had no religion and was as stubborn as an ox. His name was Cliff Osbourne and he was eight years older then Jill and felt he would always have the upper hand in the marriage due to his size, age, and sex. He wouldn't convert and he wouldn't believe or even go to mass. Even worse, he wouldn't pay the money for Jill to take the ride to church and back every weekend. Yet Jill consistently prayed to God and continued to practice her faith.
The bigger conflict came when they had children. During the Winter of 1983, they conceived their first and second son almost instantaneously, for they had twins. The first they named Jacob Alexander Osbourne. The second named Garret Blake Osbourne. Jill wanted to raise both of the boys up in a Catholic lifestyle and she knew that now Cliff couldn't refuse.
