Is it the third or the 13th year anniversary of FCCC? By the way, FCCC stands for "Filipino Christian Community Congregation." Some says it is the 3rd year anniversary when FCCC have their own Pastor-in-charge and some says it is the 13th year anniversary when a group of Filipinos started their fellowship @ Kuala Lumpur Baptist Church. Does it matter if it is the 3rd or the 13th year anniversary? You be the judge for that. But before you give your verdict, please keep on reading. It was half past one in the afternoon of August eleven, year 2002, Reverend John Kok, " The senior Pastor of KLBC", prayed with the elders of FCCC while the piano played by the musician. Without any warning or whatsoever, all the lights went off and there was a sudden stillness inside the chapel and I'm pretty sure that the audiences were wondering what's going on. But their curiosities was shortly answered when out from the backstage, a group of gorgeous ladies in a ninja-like costume with "white-gloved-hands" appeared on stage and pantomimed the "MISSION." After a grueling few minutes, "that's how I felt because I made the wrong move, I think I"m in the wrong place at the wrong time." We disappeared backstage, The lights came back. Pastor Bobby Lam prayed the opening prayer. Pastor Bobby was the first Pastor who handled FCCC and we were honored by his presence and for joining us in this celebration. The FCCC choir sung,"One thing have I desired" conducted by the FCCC music director. We were honored by the presence of the Philippine Consul General Luis T. Cruz who gave us an inspirational talk. Giving back to the Lord after all the blessings that God has showered us can never be missed. The celebration went on with a play themed "SALVATION." The play started with a successive newscasting of bad things that's happening all around the globe.Do you wanna know about the play in detail? Well, watch out for the next article. The "cream of the crop" of course is the "makan portion"' hold on a second, this is not the makan you're thinking. What I'm talking about is the "spiritual makan." We were honored by the presence of Rev. John Kok who graced us with his message of "Salvation." It goes with the Theme of the Play. And the amazing thing happened, Reverend John challenged the congregation to accept the Lord Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord, and praise God! There were seven souls who accepted the Lord. And that is why I said it's the cream of the crop. Anybody cares to disagree? And who said we forgot about our Myanmar brothers and sisters? Of course not. They were there when we needed them and they rendered their lovely song with their angelic voices. Brothers and sisters of the Myanmar Congregaton, we really appreciate your contributions. God bless you. Until next time. That's not it, a group of lovely ladies danced the "VISION" with their stunning gracefulness and actions. And before Rev. John prayed the benediction, the FCCC choir led the congregation in singing the "DIYOS AY PAG-IBIG" as doxology. Well, that's only the first part of the celebration, because the FCCC ladies have yet to show their different talent in the cultural presentation. A group of Ilocano ladies gave their best in dancing some folk dance; and boy oh boy! You could tell how they tried to show all the graces they could muster. You look at them and you felt like you want to sway your body too. Not only that, there were daring ladies from Cotabato City who dared to dance the Maguindanaonon dance. Hush! I was one of them . The beauty there was, we tried and not to mention all the pearls that wrapped around our neck, head and wrist and as we exited, the worship leader was kidding the audiences that those pearls were from the Philippine deep. Don't dare to disagree, just kidding, they were just from Bukit Bintang Plaza. Just hold on a second, our lil' brother Bernon is yet to play his flute so you better pay attention.. And this was followed by a group of Ilongo sisters who sung their lovely Ilongo songs. Well, well, well, this is now the icing of the cake. Hmm..icing of the cake? Sounds familiar? Or sounds the same? Yeah, guess so. Okay, let me reprise that. I would like to say, it's now the makan time friends. Ang get yourself ready because there were lots of Spanish-Filipino mouthwatering delicacies like arroz ala valenciana, apritada...you name it, and it's all in there. Our Pastor-in-charge, Pastor Timothy Yap, Rev. John Kok and Pastor Bobby Lam grace and cut the Anniversary cake while a group of Ilocano ladies serenaded us with their Ilocano medley like "Ti ayat ti maysa nga ubing, O naraniag a bulan, etc.etc. Well, that's how the Christians feasted with fellow christians. To God be the glory! Thirteen years ago, Filipino brothers and sisters started a group of worshippers @ KLBC. And thirteen years ago, Filipino brothers and sisters come and go. And thirteen years ago there have been ups and down of our spiritual lives, there were valleys crossed, mountains climbed, and yet we are still here by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Everyone has their own differences, we may not agree with one another all the time but at the end of the day, we all agreed in one. Despite all the arguments we had, and with all the problems we had, we were able to overcome them by the grace of the Lord Jesus. And that is why we celebrate this occasion. And in this celebration, God once again showed His love and mercy because there were seven souls who accepted the Lord Jeus Christ as their personal Lord Savior. In Luke 15:10, in the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of angels of God over one sinner who repents. And mind you friends, there is not only one who repents during this anniversary but seven. I"m pretty sure that God used this occasion for those seven souls.. So, does it matter if it's the 3rd or the 13th anniversary?
