We are now 0-2 in our indoor soccer league.
The final score 3-9.
-We (myself especially) are being hesitant and are playing without confidence.
I scored one goal, albeit for a losing goal..
We need at least two wins for the tournament.

おとつい友達に色々 指摘され落ち込んでいた。
いったい何やってんだろうと。
でもさ、自分もそれなりに生きていく上でいろいろ考えよかれと思う事をやっているんだ。
思慮に欠けたり、一歩踏み出すのに迷ったりするけど。
今の生活で何処に向かっているのかは分からないけど。
そして、よくよく考えたらもっとちゃんとした生活があるかもしれない
（僕の場合：コロコロ移動してばかりいなく地に足のついた．．．）。
でもね、最近の生活には不安定ながらも満足しているんだよね。
子供みたいに毎日アハハと笑いながら生活してるわけじゃないけど色々楽しい事がある。
だんだん友達の輪も広がり 色々やってさ。

"The making of the english working class..."
This is the text im reading for my history seminar,
900 pages of exquisite academic pleasure.
Turns out my audition was a success and i got me a part.
Not the lead, mind you.
More like villain 3 or pedestrian B, or like the tree in the backgroud.
"Be one with the tree, reach nirvana, daniel san."
Othen than my theatric engagements i sat in for prof. regenstreif's
course.
And he had his stuff on again -witty comments and all.
But the class was too big so i decided not to register.

最近ＰＣの機嫌が麗しゅうなくて。スネテマス。いいかげん機嫌を直してください。
BGM にはリヒテル・ベルリンフィルのラフマニノフ３番、最高です。明日はイーストマンでヴァイオリン、こちら（Ｅａｓｔｍａｎ）も最高。

It seems there is little point in me keeping a public journal.
Isecondguess my reasons for keeping one.
But, they are sort of like... letters i keep to myself everyday.
Then again that raises the qusetion of publicity because i also keep
a diary, on a real paper journal.
Well thats enough bs for one day.
Today Iplayed soccer with a bunch of people from Xerox.
Like ive been saying often, i need the workout.
it was one of those "for fun" games so i took it easy.
I also auditioned forthe play "lab rats."
I was not set on it at first but as i tried a couple of lines, my old
senses came back.
yes it was my GO time.
Ido enjoy acting, but i hope its not too much of a time commitment.
I went to spurrier again,
and a friend - a violinist- gave me my "first lessons in violin"
how to bow.
C'est tout pour le jour.

親から救援物資到着。
昨日・今日と所持金０ドルでやってて教科書も買えなくてヤバカッタところ
我師諭吉さん５枚届いた。

無性に食いたかったお汁粉を作って寮の人たちにも振舞う。

意外と好評
えがッタ。
また演劇がやりたいとひそかに思っており今夜オーディションに参加。
ずいぶん無計画にやる事増やしてる．．．
そして裏方でちょこっとの参加でいいかなと思っていったら、台本読みでずばりハマッてしまう。
「こりゃやばい！」
審査してた学生がなんかとても受けてくれて。
僕はなぜか役に感情投入しやすい。
演技力よりもむしろこういった勢いみたいなものでやってきた
日頃うだうだ考えていたり、考えていなっかたりで。
そんなわけでやる事が一つ増えるかもしれない。
しかし暇がないとか言ってたら結局何も始まらない。
何かと理由付けてずっとイスに座ってるのもいいけど
自分で自分の尻を叩かなきゃとよく自問自答してる。
．．．たまに挫けるけど。

Tomorrow is mozarts birthday -246th, or somewhere
close.
But tonight we strolled inside the MAG -memorial art gallery
for some Jazz. 
Afterwards we headed to Java's for coffee.
Then back on paul and his friends invited
me over to his fraternity, some greek three letters which i've already
forgotten.
We drank lots o beer and i met this one person who was a music &
history major who said he was planning to study music history at graduate
school. Furthermore this man was in japan for 3 months.
Lastly he said his dream job would be to work at a place like the MET
museumn
Yes that would be a dream job, most definitely

Sleep City U.S.A...
seven classes and soccer.
Je veux dormir.
I am going to fall into eternal sleep if i keep this up.
Between classes i drop dead on my bed.
Today, amidst my insomniac state, we played indoor soccer.
Every wednesdays we have a match.
We played a team and lost 4-10.
Ichoked, i can at least tell you that.
They played rough and dirty. but it didnt help that i felt heavy.
I've been running somewhat, but maybe i'm still slacking.
However, like i said if i keep this up along with my classes, piano,
and strings and my job ill probably go insane and drop dead.

負けたぁ負けたぁぁあああああ、
ありゃりゃ １０対４。
今我々は地元Rochesterのインドアサッカーリーグにエントリーしていて、今日からリーグ戦だったんだ。
相手は若モンから大体３０才位のミックスチーム。
Tough guyからRough guyまでのゴロツキ(?)チ‐ム。
で負けた...
なぜ負けたか？
我々の技術不足以上にindoor soccerに慣れてないこと。
またトップで出場した自分が点を獲るべき所を敵に屈したことが理由だと思う。
体が重かった。
スポーツする人は分かると思うけど勝負ってのは結局相手を潰す事。
非情だけど、結局相手を技術で、気持ちで征することなんだ。
凄く原始的な欲求みたいのが満たされるんだよね。
相手に勝るっていうことで少しグロテスクな快感が味わえるんだ。
ただ弱い奴は潰される。
サッカーはそれがとてもよく表れる。弱い方はすぐ分かる。
今日の自分は屈した。だから負けたんだ。（精神面で技術面で）強い奴が勝つ。
サッカーってね、
だから面白いんだ。
それにしても眠いよ。授業の合間は常に寝てる。
明日はチェロだ。CELLO、CELLI。

Watched the Lakers vs the Heat on TV today.
The Lakers lost.
Watching the Lakers bothered me a little.
These players were so out of sync. And it's not just the Kobe/Shaq feud.
Idont know, the players have it so good.
The arena is filled with hollywood stars, the team plays in a brand
new stadium, and all.
And they have an abundance of talent.
What the lakers lacked today was enthusium.
It's ironic because this is just what im lacking about my spring semester.

Spurrier hallで今日はピアノを強く鍵盤を叩いた。なにを弾いたかって？主にビリージョエルを弾いた。課題曲を練習する期にはならなかった。授業もあまりやる気が無いんだ、実を言うと。部屋に戻りＣＤのビリージョエルのＰｉａｎｏＭａｎを聴いてね、何もしない。なぜかな、すこし目頭が熱くなった。...今、飛行機が灯りをつけて夜空を飛んで行った。

My Casio alarm clock went off before sunrise this morning.
No, i it wasn't an accident. i woke up at 7:00am this morning.

friend.
Phew
Iwent to eastman for my strings class...sleepwalking.
My hair, a mess, (which is quite unusual , being the gentleman that
i am.)
We study two instruments per semester.
Ichose the violin and cello.
They were nice enough to lend me the instruments free of charge.
this school aint half bad i tell you.
..Anyway we learned the bass instruments (cello & bass), and it
was fun.
Oh yes, i again ran 4 miles, and getting slower everday it seems.

今日のキーワード：チェロとヴァイオリン。
ヴァイオリンはまだ下手なので、キーンキーンという雑音しか出ないけれど、今朝授業の始まったチェロはなかなか良い。
チェロという楽器はここちよく響く。

Classes for the spring semester have finally begun.
I went to 2 courses, severely lacking motivation.
When the day ended i felt a bit burnt out.
a note about images of college students.
Most students here (in the US seem) very enthusiastic about their classes.
At the least i sense an air of commitment to their academics, much more
so than in Japan.
But there are those, like the ones i saw today, who have this negative
vibe.
The juveniles who seem fit to criticize everything. ...just a note.
on another note, i played soccer again.
gave it my all, though i do need to get back in shape.

今しがた曽野綾子女史の「ぜったい多数」という小説を読み終えた。久しぶりに感動する小説を読んだ。すごく良い。女性であるからなのか、また彼女がクリスチャンであるからなのか、生について優しい温かみのある文章でした。

今日また走りにいくとサッカーをやっていたので、久しぶりに。
相変わらずフェイントがヘコイ。
クラブサッカーで一緒のSubs２８歳とその仲間。
物理学博士課程３人とMBAのBrazilian、そして２４歳のXerox社員のおっちゃん
この仲間だと若いほうで、当たり前だが動ける。
ブラジルのおっさんはブラジル人に対する固定観念にこれまた洩れず、足技が巧み。
自分の頭を越すループシュートを２本決められた。。。
自分のサッカーは基本的にガムシャラに走る事と、しつこいカバーリングが 唯一 の得手なので、このようなテクニシャンは羨ましい。
でも、このおっちゃん、すぐバテてた。
話は変わりSubsは父親も物理学者
京都の立命館やら世界の大学をあるきまわって今はスペインのバルセロナ大学に居るそうです。
彼自身もアカデミアに進みたいそうで、そのために長い学業生活を頑張っているそうだ。
米国での教授職はだいぶ競争が大変らしく、最高の学歴、経歴がなくては良い教授職は難しいのだと。ポス・ドクＰｏｓｔＤｏｃｔｏｒａｔｅや複数のＰｈＤを採る人もいるんだとのこと
会ってしばらく経つのに彼も音楽好きである事を今日初めて知る、Ｍｏｚａｒｔのシンフォニーにゾッコンで２９番を薦めていた、
第一楽章：ふむなかなか良い。
このさく品は映画アマデウスにも使われていた（と書いてある。）
彼はインド人で、自分が昨期履修したインド史の知識をひけらかすと喜んでいた。
外国人がいきなり、貴方に向かい
「新撰組土方歳三」 と 話を振られ
「えっ 何？」となる具合と一緒
いったいにほんじん何人がＲａｈｏｍｍｕｎＲｏｙ知ってますか？
その後ＳａｉｎｔＪｏｈｎｓ大対Ｕｃｏｎｎのバスケゲームを見る。コネチカットの大勝利。

２kmで５５分。
遅い。隣のねーちゃんより遅い。
けしからん！弛んでいるようだ、
鞭打って鍛えよう…。
せめて隣を泳ぐオネ-サマ方や腹の弛んだおっさんよりは速く泳げるようにしよう。

お見受けのとおりキャンパスに無事、帰郷。ここんところ二、三日青空の快晴だったので、今降っている雪がいつにもまして、叙情的です。この雪景色もぬくぬくと暖かい場所、また、かって知ったるキャンパスから眺めることができるから良いものの、実際の雪国の冬は厳しいものです。しかしながら、雪化粧で飾られた景色は心地よい。とても静かで…。こんな日はStingの曲がよく合う。今日は朝２Km泳いで、あとで走ろうと思う。ニュージャージで久しぶりに会った昔の友達と交わした口約束を守るために。仕事もおわり今ＮＹの（小）旅行記を編集中。
