PSC202 bi-weekly paper is complete!!
It took me 4 hours to read the sources and write.
I just realized how not fun doing papers were.
This week there is an AST mid-term, what fun!!
I have not studied, not one bit., but i think i will be fine. Where
do i get such confidence? - In japan almost all my tests were one nighters,
unless i actually wanted to do good in the class- But wait! Ido want
to do good in class...

「わき道にそれる」そんな感じの意味です。
簡単に言うと。ウダウダして、だらけること。
この日記を見つづければ英単語もバッチシ！！...。
兎に角、今までだらだらレポート書いてました。
ペーパーはやなモノですね。卒論だと何十ページなのか...
俺にはできそうにないな。あ、友達がきたのでちょっと失礼。

今ＳｕｅＢ６階の一部の男子ではやっているのがCapoweira。
ブラジルのノンコンタクト格闘技。
頭立が必須という面白い格闘技、でたまにクラブに行ったりしてます。
僕はリズム感がついてサッカーが少しは上手くなるかなと目論んで参加しています。
そんなわけでたまにラウンジでそれを遊んだりしています。
そうだ明日はヴァイオリンの1st Exam、
そしてＢＧＭはフェイ・ウォン。

The morning sky over Mt. Hope cemetary is glowing ever so softly.
The morning light, a mix of red and violet amidst a gentle layer of
clouds.
It is gentle as it is exceptional.
The soft layer of this morning glory
is slowly giving way to the rising sun.
I stayed up all night because i was too sick to sleep.
and somehow the natural high from sleep deprivation has made me feel
a bit better.
I've always felt that there's something purifying about sunrises.
When everyone else is still in their slumber, the morning sky is monopolized.
Sometimes, waking up early (or staying up) isn't so bad...
風邪引く、よって徹夜。
知らぬ間に夜が明け綺麗な朝日を見ることができた。上参照。
今日は風邪で欠席かなと思っていたけど、なんか朝日見て元気でるので聴講決定！！

Last night there was an 80's theme birthday party at my friends house.
The 80's..."the ghost busters", tight jeans, neon, MC Hammer,
Phil Collins, etc. t'was a jolly night at Penny's birthday party.
Before the party at my room, Jose, a fellow resident, played on my cello.
He had not played the instrument for two years. And he was just going
off on his renewed passion, trying to play some Bach fugas off his memory,
while i kept fiddling with the melody to "ode to joy".
今、凄い吹雪。此処はシベリアかいな？と思ったら、もう快晴。
あ,また雪がちらつく。ほんと冬山みたいに激しく天気が替わる。
アメリカでは余暇・遊びは週末に凝縮されています。週末は思いっきり遊ぶぜ、とか思いっきり休むぜと言う感じに。無為に過ごす時間ではないようです。夜半寮の住民ホセが来て、チェロで遊んでいました。彼は２年ぶりのチェロに大分酔っていました。恐ろしい形相でチェロを弾く彼...バッハの何かのフーガをしきりに弾こうとしていて。兎に角楽器は素晴らしい。
深夜サッカー仲間のうちのパーティーへ行く。（パーティって日本語で書くのはなんかあからさまでいやなのだが）テーマは８０年代。ふ〜ん、８０年代ねー。想像力に欠く僕はリーゼントしか思いつかなくそのままで行く。ホセがセーターとシャツで”アイビールック”言うのでそのまま。みんなのカッコは男がカール頭にピンクの化粧やら、Adidasのジャージとジョントラボルタみたいな白シャツにタイトジーンズ姿。女はピンクの網タイツとか、エアロビのルーズソックス履いたのやら、シンディ・ローパーみたいなカッコしたりで、面白い、面白い。飲んで、騒いで、そのままそこで寝る。今夜の集まりのテーマは「宇宙」。友達にガスマスクを借りたので、変態ルックで行こう。
またまた空は快晴です

Today is St.Valentines day. yes it is....
The sad thing is i didnt realize this until my fench conversation class.
We were discussing the topic, but with the different pronounciation
of "St. Valentines", I thought we were discussing something
that is pronounced "sans va longtemp", which would mean something
like "without go longtime."
..When someone gave our teacher a chocolate thats when i found out.
Well being the wonderful (and masculine) bachelor that i am, we went
to the "rochester sports garden" and played indoor soccer.
we lost 6-7 in the final 4 seconds of the game. This loss was pretty
hard because we were definitely playing wellfor the most part, but we
seemed to have lapses where we let our opponents catch up.I actuallly
got a head ache after the game because losing sucks. We have a bye next
week so we should be able to regroup. We aren't playing bad by any standard
though. And thats makes it so hard. After the game tom, collin, leo
and i went to the distillery.
and the frozen margaritas was pretty damn good.
世に言うヴァレンタインデー。
ご無沙汰ですが世に疎い僕でも知っていますよ、一応。
昨夜４時までポールとブライアンが来てマーティー二ーすすってたので起床は遅かった。
まったく１４日だと言う事には気づかずに。
フランス語の授業でディスカッショでしきりにサンヴァロンタンという言葉が出てくるので、知らぬ間に新しい言葉が出てきたなとぼんやり考えていました。
フランスでのなんかのお祭りかなと思っていたけど気になったので話の途中、質問ケス・ク”サンヴァロンタン”？そしてやっと気づいた。
そんなわけでサンヴァロンタンデーに縁もゆかりも無い男くさい私はサッカーの試合。
３-０リード、全半５−３、私は一得点。
しかし...悪夢はホイッスル４秒まえに得点され７−６で敗北。
はっきり言って頭が痛かった。
負けるのは悔しいね、これだけは慣れられない。というか慣れたらヤバイ。ま、皆さんお疲れ。
試合後はチームメートのトム・コーリン・レオとDistilleryと言う飲み屋でちょっと飲む。
フローズン・マルガリータは美味なり。

Scarlatti whom i mentioned in my previous entree is of the baroque period.
i did not know this until i asked my piano teacher this morning. My
impressions from his piece was a little more modern so her answer to
my question was a surprise. my impression of the baroque period is so
much centered on works of bach that anything deviated becomes push to
the side. Thus composers like scarlatti or Vivaldi seems to me modern.
That is un-Bach
hey, i can now play 2 scales on my violin, yup TWO whole scales. the
D scale and the C scale. its great! oh, how wonderful this is. now i
can play......"mary had a little lamb" on two different scales.
huge progress.
ran for 4 miles today and 200 sit-ups. another game for indoor soccer
is coming up tomorrow.
４日続けてリングイネ、...う〜ん、ちょっと飽きてきた。
火曜と木曜は弦楽器クラスで早朝、友達の車でダウンタウンにあるイーストマン音楽院へ行く。
ヴァイオリンは二つ目の音階を教わりました。
ハ長調、ＣＭａｊｏｒＳｃａｌｅを新たに取得。
ピアノ習ってるくせに音楽理論はからきしダメで音階もよく覚えてないんだ。
特に日本語で表すイ・ロ・ハ・二・へ・ホ・トというやつは滅茶苦茶。
全然分からない。
ＣＳｃａｌｅがハ長調-フラット・シャープが無い音階（ドからドまで)-だってことくらいは分かるけど。
音楽教室は今日から３２５号室。少しましなスタインウェイのピアノがる部屋に移った。
前学期までの時間帯を今学期から弦楽器クラスにあわせ火曜日にしたため今までの部屋は違う先生が使っていたのを借りていたため。
そう、朝が早いため授業中は凄く眠くなる。
「アメリカ原住民」の授業中は危険だった。睡魔が...。
午後は部屋で寝ちまう。
夜芝居の小練習。動作練習と発声練習。
慶應でやってたのと少し似てる。特に準備運動とか。でも当たり前だが発声は英語。
今度英語の早口言葉でも載せよう。とりあえず覚えてる日本語のやつを少し：

・ゴルバチョフ書記長の子、子ゴルバチョフ書記長。
・高崎の先の北高崎。
は〜、これしか思い出せない...あんなにやったのに...

Every other week on sunday nights, studio classes are held at Howard
Hanson Hall Eastman School of Music.
i will get a photograph of the place sometime.
There is also a harpsicord in the back.
A harpsicord is a very old type of piano,
and quite exquisite when a JS Bach is played.
A girl played Scarlatti very well.
and i,?
i took the road less traveled by...
i messed up on Bach 3 part inventions.
今夜はリングイネを作って食った。
昨夜寮の住民に作ってあげたら、けっこう美味かったんだ。
太めのパスタで少しうどんみたいで、なかなか。
キッチンの鍋は他人の使ってるけど、今度自分の買おう。
とても清々しい青空でした、。
が、しかし...滅茶寒い...。
外に出るのがやだな。ほんとに窓の外、天気は良いのに。
見た目に惑わされないように！
此処は北の大地なのでした。
芝居の練習は順調かな。
今のところ、私の役どころはいわゆる仮面ライダーで言うショッカーで、その他大勢ッてやつ。きぃー、きぃー、って騒いだり。
音楽院でスタジオクラス。
この部屋 今度写真に収めよう。
幕の後ろにハープシコード（ピアノの前身を発見）。
お〜っ、良い感じだ。
バッハの三声シンフォニアを弾いたんだけどコケタ。ちょっとヘコかった、対照的に誰かが弾いたスカルラッティは良かったな。

Last night as my friend and i were talking and listening
to some (wicked) jazz at java's cafe.
Our conversations led from the bass to bass lessons to summer school
to indepent study to sociology to computer programming.
Just an example of how things lead to the most unexpected places.
We were talking abput the music that was being played (which was really
something, some sort of free style jazz with wierd noises and all) to
computer programming in sociology (not that i know anything about it.)
the same holds true in human relations and in life.
when you take action no matter how small, there is bound to be a re-action.
芝居・ＬａｂＲａｔｓの練習。
小さな役（と言っても一人三役だが）なので時間拘束は少なく練習は１時間。
主役格の人は一日中。
慶應でやったときは「ほぼ毎日１１時〜１０時まで」とか言うめちゃくちゃな時間拘束だったので比べれば効率が良い気がする。
おもしろいものができると良いのだが...。
今日は戦い・絡むシーン。
パロディーとか入れて色々と面白くする予定。
今は「Ｂｒｉｔｏｎｓ」イギリス人のＰａｒｔｉｏｔｉｓｍ形成の歴史みたいなのを課題で読んでいます。
これは図書館になかったので今朝わざわざＭａｌｌ（ショッピングコンプレックス）まで買いに行った。
あとはカミュの「Ｐｒａｇｕｅ」というのを読んでいます。
以前読んだ「堕落〜Ｆａｌｌ」は全然意味不明だったのだけど、
これは誰かが面白いと言ったので良いんでしょう。
日本の大学生は春休みですね。

...in the midst of reading "the making of the english working class
for my history seminar.
Nine hundred pages of reading, the book is as thick as a bible.
I hope I dont fall asleep reading it.
The time as it is twelve midnight.
We lost our 3rd game today.
Against another team that was physical.
The league which we play in is called the AA league, so the competition
isnt that easy. thats no excuse.
We have 5 more games. gotta win !!
oh yes, I failed my drivers test this morning.
I guess some people dont want people mistaking their drive shifts with
their reverse shifts...
「イギリス労働階級の起源」が今週の歴史ゼミの課題。
小さな、小さなフォントで９００ページ です。前回の課題書「Aristocrats（貴族たち）」は面白かったけど今回は、...ねむい。
ク〜〜、スピ、スピ。( 我ながら変な擬態語...)
また負けたよ、サッカー。でも、段段と良くなって来ている。結果４−５、私は２得点。
試合後はポ〜っと仲間でお茶。
後リーグ戦５試合、勝ちましょう。
今朝、運転試験落ちました。
ハ〜、最悪。
スリーポイントターンというので、「Ｄ」ドライブと「Ｒ」リバースを間違え、危機一髪！
...というか不合格です。
試験の類に落ちるのは高校入詩の時、唯一ＩＣＵ高校に落ちたの以来、無敗を誇っ,ていたのに。
ちょっとショックです。お隣さんに励ましてもらいました。
色々何かと忙しいのです、このデイリーメモ更新している場合じゃない気がします。
明日は早朝、弦楽器クラス。このへんで、失礼します。

今夜は部屋でポールとブライアンとデーっとくつろぐ。
部屋を少し模様替えして、広くして、贅沢な感じになった。

を聴きながらChardonnay, Cognacを傾ける。
今度ここで、ジャズ鑑賞会を開催する予定。
あくまで予定だけどマーティニー片手にカクテルパーティーなんて面白そう。
何聴いたかな？イタリアかぶれのポールのパスタをつまみ、エラ・フィッツジェラルドやＡ．Ｃ.ジョビムやディーン・マーチンなど、シブいやつを聴いてた。
明日は芝居の初練習がある。
サッカーの練習も。
