   Military Bandages for
              bullet wounds.

    skinning deer, elk and
    bears.

12. Pocketknife for skinning
    squirrels, and many uses.

13. Small sharpening stone.

14. Leatherman Tool or
    SWISS ARMY KNIFE.

15. Mini-Mag Lite, red lens
    filter, & extra batteries.

16. Weapons Cleaning Kit
    [Otis makes a good one.]
   CHEAPER THAN DIRT has good
   military surplus kits.

17. A spare Compass
    [less expensive compass].

18. MAPS [a map case, even if
    only a big zip-lock bag].

19. Signal Mirror, which can
    also be used for shaving.
     [A Computer Disk will
     work, if nothing else.]

20. Personal Hygiene Kit
    ~Toothbrush
    ~Toothpaste
    ~Soap
    ~Foot Powder
    ~Razor, etc.

23. Extra T-Shirt [1]

24. Extra undershorts [1]

25. Insect Repellant

26. Note Pad & Pencil & Pen.

27. Toliet paper in heavy
     zip-lock bag.

28. Military Style Shovel
      [Entrenching Tool]
    or a Garden Trowel

29. A RANGER HANDBOOK,
     or other good
    FIELD GUIDE.  

30. Poncho Liner [a type of camo blanket that ties inside of the Poncho.

31. Wool Army Blankets
    [1,2 or 3 to suit season]
            or
    Sleeping Bag to suit
    the season & weather.

33. 2 Ponchos [1 under
    the butt pack, 1 in
    the rucksack "pack"].

34. Parachute Cord and or
    #36 Nylon Fishing
    Twine [100 feet +].

    Liner in Cold times.

    warm weather.

    RADIO RECEIVER in a
    waterproof bag.

46. WALKIE TALKIE
     [Waterproofed].

47. MESS KIT for cooking
    drinking & eating.
    Spoon and Fork.

48. Small Stove and Fuel
    "Tommy Cooker" is OK
    [folding stove with
     heat tabs] or Sterno.

49. A better Cook Stove
    IF you can afford it.
    PRIMUS or some other
    single-burner unleaded
    and or white-gas type
    back-packing camp stove.

50. LARGE or MEDIUM FRAME
    "ALICE PACK" to load it
    all into and tote it.
    Any good Military style
    Back Pack is OK, make do
    with a Civilian pack if
    that is all ya got, at
    least until you can lay
    hands on a good military
    back pack.

51. KNIGHT'S ARMOR: top it all off with a good "Steel Pot" MILITARY HELMET. [keeps your head dry in the rain if nothing else]. Also when it "rains" hot lead and steel fragments it might well save your life. Think of it as your last vestige of knightly armor. Speaking of which, do not forget Body Armour. NOTE:[MILITARY BODY ARMOR in the form of  a FLAK JACKET or BULLET PROOF VEST is good,
if you can afford them and will actually wear them. A Flak Jacket is relatively cheap, but of course the Bullet Proof Vest is a better investment. Truly a hangover from knightly armor!].

52. Water Purification Tablets.

53. WATER FILTRATION AND PURIFICATION SYSTEM [SMALL BACKPACING MODEL].

54. WOODEN STRIKE ANYWHERE KITCHEN MATCHES [In a good waterpoof zip-lock freezer bag.]

55. Think about it!??

ALL GEAR THAT MIGHT BE DAMAGED BY WATER SHOULD BE PACKED IN ZIP-LOCK FREEZER BAGS OR SOME OTHER SUITABLE "WATER-TIGHT" BAG.
