BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Teaching Position: Fall 2004 will be my first year teaching. I will be teaching 2nd grade. Certification Seeking: Masters of Eduction in Teaching (M.Ed.T) Topic of Research: Literature-Based Instruction Why I chose this topic: I am a big believer in reading and I would like to find out what the research says about literature-based instruction. Why I hoped to discover from my research: Apporpriate strategies for instructions and theories to support the research. How will this research impact my future teaching assignment: I plan to use literature across the curriculum in my classroom and I hope this research will help me put this into place.
