The SnP Mods Page
This picture shows the new smoke stack ready for installation. The hole over which the stack is to be welded is partially cut out on the lower end of the cooking chamber. I drilled 4 holes where the corners of my smoke stack vent was to be and then used a sawz-all to finish it off.  After the hole was cut, the factory paint was sanded off in the area that was to be welded.

This picture shows the baffled coal basket. When filled with charcoal and smoke wood, this coal basket allows me to leave the SnP unattended for up to 5 hours. The bottom of this basket is 14 inches wide which raises the coals in the firebox significantly, allowing for more ash fall without affecting air flow. The twin steel baffles (.135 thick) eliminates any direct radiant cooking.
Engineering Sketches of the SnP
Below is the process of inserting the coal basket into the firebox. The picture on the left shows the basket sitting horizontally in the firebox opening. The picture on the right shows the basket sitting down in the firebox leaning on the bottom of the doorway.
The 2 pictures above show the dimensions of the coal basket. The bottom of the basket is 14 inches square and you can see that the basket is 6 inches deep and the baffles are 9 inches at the peak.
These 2 pictures show the coal basket fully inserted into the firebox
