I REALLY have to start being better about updating this page!! Happily I have made it through two years of teaching, my students still seem to like me, as does my boss.  So I have kept my job and will start my third year at the end of the month.  Not much to say right now other than, check out my awesome wedding pictures!

Oops.  I guess my haitus from rambling has taken longer than I thought. But I already explained why on the first page, so I won't bore you now.   There are two things now that you need to know. The first is...YES I GOT THE JOB. Of course, most of you know that already, but on the off chance that some stranger happens apon my page and is waiting in horrid anticipation, that person can rest easy.  My hard work paid off and I now work teaching middle school choir one town away from where I grew up. My first year was very successful.  Two out of the four groups went to state festival and the other two...well, they didn't stink.  This year I am hoping to expand my program to 6 choirs, however, that remains to be seen.  Yes, school begins less than a week from today, and it still remains to be seen.  Ahh the joys of peonhood.

The other thing that you need to know is...I am getting married! Yay! The colors are Navy Blue and...lighter blue? We have to meet with the florist before truly deciding.on the accent colors. Lighter blues, ivories, lavendars, yellows...soemthing like that. We have decided where it will be and when, we have found the photographer, we have picked out a cake topper, and I think we have found a cake we like and invitations we like.  Of course, as usually, it all comes down to the mula. So instead of updates on the job front, I will update the wedding plans for all to follow and dream.

Done! I finished it! All 15 pages plus two typed explanations of various things and overnight mailed the whole package (including a videotape and an audiotape) to the principal.  I said once that I had hoped I was able to do something else, instead of just sitting around and waiting, so I guess that is what this was. Still, I am very glad that it is finished.  So now, here I am waiting again, and I leave for my interview/vacation tomorrow. So check back again in a few weeks when I will once again post these updates into my life. Maybe, I'll even have a job then.

I am halfway finished with my unit plan, and it WILL be finished tonight.  Tomorrow I will overnight express it, and then...wait once again. Over the weekend I visited the largest waterpark in America.  It was great fun, only I now and terribly sunburned.  I even applied sunscreen. Oh well. At least I am set for the rest of the summer.  I am driving out for another interview in a couple days and then going on vacation for three weeks. So if you keep checking and there is nothing new...well, YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT!

Happy Summer!  Ah the barbeqeues, the croquet games, the swimming, the heat, the humidity, the stickiness... I mean... It is supposed to be 90 degrees here for the next two days.  And so, my sister and I are FINALLY off to the nearby super-happy-fun waterpark on Sunday.  I am very excited.  I have begun working on my unit plan which I should have ready to mail out on Tuesday.  Hopefully, that will happen. Not terribly much has happend since Tuesday.  I attempted to cook tofu and that was a disaster.  Maybe eventually I will try again.  My eyes feel so much better after getting new contact lenses and keeping my moniter dimmed. (Thanks Uncle Royal!) Other than that, life is grand and I am looking forward to my vacation visiting family and hanging out by the lake. If only I had a job...

Every day, I check my e-mail.  Every TEN MINUTES I check my e-mail, hoping there will be something from this school in which I would adore to work. Then today...POOF. There it is. My heart stops as I click on the name to read what she has written. I just know they've hired someone else.  All my waiting has been in vain. Every night I say my prayers and include "Please, Lord. Let them call me tomorrow." I've begun seeing signs everywhere. And I don't even believe in signs. I almost don't want to read it. It's better not to know. And then...she tells me that she has not made a decision yet, but has narrowed the candidates down to three and if I am still interested in the position, to send her a 3 week unit plan written for a 7th grade choir of 40 members, plus any information that I may have to influence her decision. Oh, and could you please have it to me by June 28th? Sure. So what does this mean for Kylie. It means now she has to get it in gear and work really hard on something only to mail it off into nothingness...and continue to wait. Joy. But alas, it is still not "no."

We have done it.  The Red Wing franchise now has 10 Stanely cups, my Number 14 Shanahan scores two goals in the winning game, Scotty Bowman I think has officially announced his retirement, and he has broken the record by winning 9 Stanley Cups as a coach.  These boys are amazing.  In additon to watching hockey, I went bowling last night.  I began with a strike and it went pretty much downhill from there, acheiving a score of a whopping 83.  My next game was a little better with a 115, and the last was the best- a 135.  I had about 3 or 4 strikes peppered throughout the three games, but they were usually followed by knocking down 2 pins or a gutter ball. Consistency, at this point, is a problem. My all time high game is a 163, and is a MAJOR fluke.

I have decided to attribute my headaches this week to caffeine withdrawl.  When one goes from 5-6 Diet Pepsi's a day to 1, terrible things happen.  I believe I will cut down a tad more gradually. And my eye appointment is tomorrow. Thank goodness.  I am wearing my contacts again because wearing my glasses makes me feel like I have the flu or something. (Usually the only time I wear them.) But I have also dimmed the monitor as suggested by my Uncle Royal, and that seemes to be helping so far. See, I knew this page would come in handy...
