I am pretty tired of having a headache all the time.  I wore my glasses to work today because my contact perscription was up in Februrary, and I have been wearing the same 2-week disposable contacts since May 1st.  I do have an eye appointment for Saturday so that is wonderful, but I am concerned about this headache thing.  I will be happy when the end of June comes and I won't have to spend nearly every waking hour in from of a computer screen.  I don't know how these people do it for years at a time.  Last night, I went to a band rehearsal.  It was quite enjoyable.  I knew that I missed playing in band, but I didn't realize how much.  It was the first rehearsal of the summer for an area community band so we pretty much just ran through music, which was great with me.  We even played through things I had played before such as "English Folk Song Suite," "El Capitan," and "American Salute," which was in the folder but we didn't get to it.  I guess this means I will have to go next week!

Last night, on spur of the moment, I received in the mail a ticket to Azerbaijan. Only it had to be used RIGHT AWAY, so I went.  Now Azerbaijan has some severe pollution problems so I organized a Public Personage for the Prevention of Permanant Pollution.  Within three hours, the air was clean, the water tasted like Dasani spring water, and everyone was happy.  So I came home. When I got there, I found that my city had organized a parade in my honor. It turns out that Azerbaijan was solely responsible for the depletion of the ozone layer, and I have stopped and reveresed the greenhouse effect.  Go me! So I appeased the masses by riding on their float and waving at people for a little while and then decided, "No, no more autographs, it is time for sleeping." So I came home and after making my peanut butter and banana pita for my lunch, I went to sleep.

Ok. I came home from work, I ate a grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup, read a Good Housekeeping Magazine, and went for a walk around the block.  But wasn't that story much more interesting to read?

Stomach sore.  Abs of Steel on Sunday night, Advance Tae Bo yesterday. There really needs to be a level BETWEEN the beginner and the advanced. So last night I exercised, ate "chicken parmasean" from a frozen spaghetti and a chicken-like patty, and watched a thunderstorm.  Not terribly exciting, but satisfying none-the-less. AND today, after just one more email, I heard from the principal of the school I REALLY want to work in.  She said my name is "still on the plate" and they haven't made a decision.  Which isn't "no" which is good. So here I am. Twiddletwiddletwiddle...

Ahh, the weekend. That two day period where one can rest and become strong enough to face the next long work week.  Surprisingly, I am much more rested after this weekend than on weekends where I just kind of lounge around and don't do anything. How odd.  On Saturday, my family and I went to a state park, only to discover that the lake was flooded. So much for our scenic walk.  So we walked around to the other side and up the railroad tracks for a little while, then headed back, grabbed some Subway for lunch, and played cards.  A very enjoyable day.  Yesterday, Kylie got productive.  I went to church with my family, then went out to lunch with my sister, bought a purse and some workout pants (versus "a person some pants...") and then a few shirts for work that were on sale. After coming home, I actually practiced my euphonium after not playing for over a year. I sounded alright, particularly in the living room because it is a split level with the kitchen so the acoustics are pretty decent.  However, I was banished to my room (which has HORRIBLE acoustics) for being too "loud." Oh well. I then cleaned my room, helped my sister set up her stereo (which required moving a really heavy dresser) and then ate dinner and sat outside for a while to enjoy the beautiful 80 degree weather.  All in all, an extraordinary weekend.

Last night was basically entirely uneventful. After working on a depressing project at work, I came home and tried to determine if anything was wrong with my sisters computer.  I don't think that there is, however, I now believe that antivirus systems will not prevent people from worrying about viruses.  After a dinner of a pizza burger (a kind of soy, meatless patty) which was much better than I expected, I sat out on my deck.  I then decided that I didn't want to pay my student loans for a while and wrote a nice letter to my loan people telling them this. Then, after my nightly Letterman Top Ten list viewing, I went to sleep. Zzzzz.

Has anyone ever tried to learn a new card game using the Hoyle book of rules? It is not an easy task.  My family tried to learn Canasta yesterday.  Now for me, this is a compilcated game anyway.  But add my family's limited knowledge of Rummy to the mix and that causes all sorts of problems. Plus, the Hoyle book has this uncanny ability to make the rules, even simple rules, almost ESPECIALLY simple rules, sound as complicated as possible. For example. I STILL don't really understand how freezing and unfreezing the deck works, but with the help of my all knowledgeable boyfriend, Kevin, I think I now know enough to get through a game without chaos.  I have also learned that I need to be strong and when threatend with my life over a game of cards, I should just go out anyway. :-)

Since I now know how, I have decided to grace the world with my brilliance and add this daily dose of rambling thoughts.  For example, as I have mentioned in my brief, but oh so informative biography, I am currently searching for a job.  I was called yesterday by one school only to be told (albeit very nicely) that they had hired someone else with a little more experience.  Now, I graduated only a few months ago and attempted the substitute teaching thing, only to be called twice in two months and both for half days.  Needless to say, it is hard to sustain on the exactly 45 dollars that I earned in my subbing adventures. So I have moved in with my parents for the summer, in a different state. Thus, I get to drive over 300 miles for all of my interviews in order to get a job and gain experience...only to be told that I don't have enough experience to gain experience. Does this make sense to ANYONE? Ahem.
