*~Then What?~*
We know the sky is blue,
We knew the earth was flat.
What if what we think we know--
Isn't really that?
the earth was in the center,
The sun just went around it.
Now the sun is in the middle--
Where astrologers found it.
I found a penny today
just lying on the ground.
But its not just a penny,
this little coin I've found.
Found pennies come from heaven,
That's what my Grandpa told me.
He said Angels toss them down,
Oh how I loved that story.
He said when an Angel misses you,
They toss a penny down.
Sometimes just to cheer you up,
To make a smile from your frown.
So dont' pass by that penny,
When you're feeling blue.
It may be a penny from heaven,
That an Angel tossed to you!

As he spoke I sat in silence
Staring into the open sky.
The world seemed to freeze,
As if the moment were to last forever.
His eyes met mine,and
Like the world; I froze.
As his hand touched mine,
A cold breeze blew over me.
The stars shined,
As the sun went down.
And once again the world
Began to spin.
As he turned and walked aways
I knew I had to speak.
I opened my mouth--
But no words came out.
He turned and looked back
As if to seize the moment.
A tear fell from his face--
And he turned and walked on.
All at once I began to cry;
"Come Back" were the only words I could manage.
As I looked up, the trail ahead was clear--
Nothing in sight, He was GONE
