| Ritual Cease all sorrows Ceases all strife This day is for living For living this life Light candle and hold it above your head and say: Hail lord, hail the sun, hail the light Sprinkle water from the cauldron on self and say: Come the lord of the greenwood Who courts the lady fair Come our lord in Sun and Light As we worship you here We shine in your love and light Your are life and death anew Without you there is nothing Pour the wine with herbs in it on the ground and say: Now is the time for the giving of gifts We thank our Gods for the goodness of life As there must be rain with sun for growth There must be pain with joy, happiness with strife Herne and Diana bless us now We thankyou for the past year We ask for your love and guidance For all that we may bear As the new year approaches We renew our love to thee Because love is the law and love is the bond So mote it be At this point new years resolutions are made followed by celebration of the past years accomplishments. Cakes and Ale is then followed by the clearing of the temple. |
| Tools and Setting On the altar is an extra large candle that remains unlit. In the south in a culdron with sacred water and any of the following herbs in it: rosemary, vervain, thyme, rose petals. Chalice wine also contains the ritual herbs. Incense is sandalwood. The motif is white and the circle is decorated with summer flowers and fruit. The temple is erected |
