| Ritual Blessed be all within the circle Merry meet we at this spring time rite Welcome beauteous spring, welcome Lord and Lady Welcome the time of birth and planting seeds Taking a flower from the altar, dance deosil and as you dance place a flower on the line of the circle, continue to do so unlil the whole circle outline is covered. The bell in then rung three times. Spring is the time of birth and growth The time to plant a seed within our selves And nuture it until it flowers Spring is the time for hopes and desires For new ideas, for balance and for inspirations Sit and mediatate and when ready write down what it is you wish to achieve, or change within yourself. Then light the paper from the altar candle and allow the ashes to fall into the bowl of earth Lord and Lady, receive these our seeds of hope Let them germinate in ourselves Let them grow strong and to fruition Take the athame and mix the ash into the soil then take the seed and hold onto it for a moment, concentrating energy into it. We celebrate life by planting this seed The seed is place in the womb of earth So it may become part of all of us As we are one with nature Place the seed into a small hole in the dirt and cover These rites of spring belong to us and to the Gods This is a time of joy and of planting So mote it be The bell is rung three times. The ritual is followed by Cakes and Ale until the Temple is Cleared |
| Tools and Setup On the altar lies a bundle of spring flowers, a wooden or earthenwear bowl filled with soil and a large seed of some kind. Under the altar is paper and pen. The motif is light green and the incense is frankinsense, orangepeel, nutmeg or rose. The outer circle is decorated with spring flowers such as daffodils. The temple is erected.... |
