| Ritual Haste, haste no time to waste we're off to the sabbat so don't be late Dance deosil around the circle until ready to begin, then say: The Lords journey ends as the Lady raises her head The season of the lady begins with joy and warmth Our mother swells with bounties of harvest Farewell the darkness and welcome the light Farewell the Lord and welcome the Lady Sprinkle rose petals over your head and say: This is a time for joy, of great celebration The hardness has passed and now we are rich with love and warmth New life comes forth and old lives are renewed With the Lady we celebrate, in abundance of joy Farewell to the season of darkness and always the wheel turns The wheel turns Without ceasing The wheel turns And turns again Farewell to our Lord And welcome to our lady We turn to summer we turn to face the light This is traditionally when people would dance around the maypole, so it is time for much damce and happiness The journey through darkness has brought us here We showed strength and give thanks now for a safe deliverance As the Lady now moves down her path Spreading light and happiness Our lady is she who brings life anew Her gentle breeze and warm sun helps flower grow and children sing We celebrate in her love as love is the beginning and end of all things Some of the flowers are thrown into the cauldron To the spark of life We rest now upon the earth of our mother The ritual is follwed by cakes and ale until the temple is cleared |
