The Gold Prospectors Association of America held an outing for members and guests in northeast Georgia in May of 2005. My wife and I attended. There were about 400 friendly people and various activities in addition to gold panning. I worked two four hour shifts on the common dig while my wife took pictures, walked our dog, and relaxed. It was a peaceful and unhurried camping vacation with time for side trips to the gold museum in Dahlonega, the Crisson Gold Mine, and the Frogtown Cellars. We will let the pictures tell the story.
