Search for Gold 2005
The Gold Prospectors Association of America held an outing for members and guests in northeast Georgia in May of 2005. My wife and I attended. There were about 400 friendly people and various activities in addition to gold panning. I worked two four hour shifts on the common dig while my wife took pictures, walked our dog, and relaxed. It was a peaceful and unhurried camping vacation with time for side trips to the gold museum in Dahlonega, the Crisson Gold Mine, and the Frogtown Cellars.
