Camping Trip #8
Previous Trip's entry Date:
Next Trip!!
Location: Bon Echo Provincial Park, Cloyne, Ontario
Site Number:  157

Comments:  Nice place for a vacation.  Never stayed at the campsite for very long.  There were kids programs and educational programs, both historical and nature related.  Sunsets at the rock were magical with the changing colours.  Trails were everywhere, and we never got to do very many of them.

Events:  Rented a canoe and looked at the pictographs and then canoed to the beach for a day.  The WandererToo was a great boat tour.  And towing the trailer through Toronto was an event that I would rather not repeat, though I probably will again, given the area we live in.
Lessons Learned: Just before we set out, after the trailer was hitched up, but before the light check, we checked the tires.  One had a bald patch on it.  Learned how to jack up the trailer to change a tire.  And we learned how important it is to check everything before you leave.  We think this step saved our camping trip.
