Location: MacGregor Point Provincial Park
Site Number:  73

Comments:  Our last trip to MacGregor Point (in 1995) included many visits by bold racoons.  On this trip we took all the precautions about garbage, food and grey water, and did not see any.  They were there, we heard the stories, but none for us.  But we saw a snakes, frogs,  birds, squirrels and chipmunks.  The sites were gorgeous, very private.  The washrooms were clean. The children really enjoyed the programs that were put on.

Events:  We went on a guided hike of the Tower Trail and learned a lot more about wetlands.

Lessons Learned:  We used our add a room with a carpet, and dining tent.  Although very nice to have, it greatly increases the setup and take down time.  Of course it rained, but the add a room kept more things dry.  But we have to remember to take our chairs into the add a room, even if there is only a slight chance of rain.  Those collapsible cloth chairs never dry!!
