Camping Trip #17
Previous Trip's entry Date:
Next Trip!!
Location: Algonquin Provincial Park - Canisbay Lake
Site Number: 174 then 239

Comments:  We went with a reservation for Lake of Two Rivers for 4 nights, but decided we wanted to stay for two weeks.  We went to Canisbay Lake and asked for an electrical site.  We had to get on a first come first serve list, but we got the electrical site the next night.  The move was worth it.

Events:  Moose sightings, Bear sightings, Canoe lessons, Live Theatre, Northern lights, Shooting stars, beautiful weather.  The first night, however, it rained very hard.  We were only doing a light set up because we were going to move the next day.  The awning was up, and the carpet under the awning was out, and eventually was covered by 2-3 inches of water!!  We put our sandals on to go out.  But we never saw rain again.
This is the rain the first night.  Note the buried carpet!
Northern Lights.  The lake was so still you could see the reflection of the stars and the northern lights on the lake.
