Previous Trip's entry Date:
Next Trip!!
Location: Turkey Point Provincial Park, Turkey Point, Ontario
Site Number:  60

Comments:  This weekend is a very big weekend in Turkey point.  Our Neighbors went to the party in Turkey Point and came home around 4 AM.  They went to bed after 6AM.  Don't ask how I know!!

Events:  We went to a nature talk about birds on Saturday morning.  A person from a bird rescue mission showed off some of his birds...a hawk that could no longer fly and two very different size owls.  The big surprise was that the biggest owl was ready to be released back to the wild.  So after his talk, he released the bird.  The owl flew straight to a tree.  At that point a wild turkey flew up and attacked the owl.  Feathers started flying.  The turkey went back to the ground and eventually the owl flew away, none the worse for wear!!
Our Home away from home!
This is the bird that was released.
