Introduction

What can we say about Norman? He’s a kind guy, a simple guy, an honest guy who loved nothing more than to treat his family and friends with outmost respect and love…. *crackle.. *ring *ring… “HELLO!!!…. JOHAN’S FREN AMAT??!! JOHAN!!! GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE!! PHONE!!”.

Now where was I? Oh yeah.. born on a.. a… one September morning (I think) 1981, the year in which the world saw lotsa really cool and influential stuff happened. Yup, the year of the ayam was also the year of the first US space shuttle launch and also the year our great Malaysian PM Dr. Mahathir came to power (good man most of the time), as well as other significant historical events I can’t remember right now.

His childhood was a colourful one. Spending his toddler years both here n in Belgium, he vaguely remembers back in Brugge kindergarten, there was a boy who came in with his parents riding a VW beetle and one day shit in his pants, exactly after we all went out for a class pic (one can see him scratching his butt in the pic haha..). Whatever happened to’em I wonder.

Primary School, oh boy.. lotsa embarrassing moments happened which I will not disclose here :p Secondary School years were rather different. A whole array of best friends, first few months, ‘ol neighbouring buddy.. then, mommy’s fren’s son… then, this fella who looked really weird n had the face like a zombie, complete with the dark rings under his eyes (no pun intended dude).. then another weird looking guy (his ears), we spent lotsa cool times together doing things we kids are supposed to do at this time of age. Sneaking out to places your parents wouldn’t allow, doing damage to the environment (purely in the name of science), etc. Then came this one fella.. straight cut boy from serdang, moved over for reasons I can’t remember.

Then, came University days.. oh my, somebody pass me some water, this ain’t gonna be easy. But, to put things nice n simple, he ought to be studying (yeah, we’ve heard that a million times but did it ever happen? What? U think I’m that bad? Come on) One has to wonder why he’s acted as such. From the day he got his own computer, plugged it into the uni LAN, the rest as they say is history. This fella became more daring than anybody ever thought possible. But people tend to disregard that there’s actually a lot to learn from things u experience, mistakes u make, people u’re involved with and yeah, that’s what he had, a complete hands-on idiot course on social studies (which was a bit too perplexing at one time but highly predictable at another).

So now, here he is, contemplating, day dreaming as ever.. dreaming of perfect situations, leaping tall buildings in a single jump, moving faster than "i-don't-know-what", thinking wiser than Jean Luc Pickard (with more hair too haha)

hmm… looking out the window he sees a car passin’ by.. 10inch tail pipe, monkey wings, hubcaps that look like sport rims, mat rock overall styling.. he shakes his head.. sigh, if only they knew better.

What else?                                                                                                                                                                               (26348517)

5)      Food? Oh I’ll eat anything (not really). Lamb chops… nice tender steak.. smoked salmon.. *arrkkkkhhhh….

6)      Sport? Formula One nut to the highest degree.. follows daily updates twice a day 365 days a year, watches EVERY race. Missed the Malaysian GP only once. NBA’s not bad too (Lakers, Philly, Kings, Shaq, Kobe, Iverson, Tim Duncan.. yup). CART, not too sure about the timing but not as amusing as F1 cos the technology not as impressive. Football? Sorry.. Golf? Aiyoh… please no.

Ahh.. , favorite movies:

1)      Pulp Fiction: awesome dialogs. You have to watch it at least 3 times to enjoy it. Nice soundtrack, nice acting, and frankly, AWESOME.

2)      Fight Club: (lemme list down all the dark movies first) one word: interesting                                                                    aafroc

3)      Seven: (yup, another Brad Pitt movie) but this one’s dark and evil, demented, cool.

4)      The Crow: the whole gothic theme, the soundtrack, the characters.. wow.. a real big WOW.. love it. Fav quote – “This ain’t good” and then BAM!! he sideswipes a patrol car.

5)      The Crow City of Angels: not as good as the first but it retains the dark, dirty, gothic world. I just love those stuff. Fav quote – “You think I’m afraid of you?! I’m not afraid.. I’m not afraaaaaiiiid” (do it in a hard ghost metal rocker’s voice).

6)      The Rock: no, not that WWF guy. It stars Nicky Cage and that old James Bond guy. Nice soundtrack.. somehow the movie sticks to me.

7)      Face Off and Broken Arrow: John Travolta makes a really really cool bad guy.

8)      Dumb and Dumber: can’t forget how I almost split my jaw wide open the first time I saw the movie. It’s not too interesting by today’s standards but back then it was the bomb.

9)      American Pie 1 and 2, Road Trip and other teenager movies. Absolutely hilarious.

10)  Austin Power movies: kinky.

11)  Down to Earth: a good one from Chris Rock.

12)  Braveheart: a 3 hour experience you won’t forget.

13)  The Patriot: gorsh.. when the li’l girl first spoke, cried out for his dad (Mel Gibson).. such an emotionally strong scene. Excellent.

Okay, I guess that’s enough for now. There are lots more movies out there to be listed, but let’s not bore each other with'em any longer. Time to move on. Now, let’s see hmm.. well.. you’ve made it this far, I must congratulate you. Hope you found the secret message I hid somewhere up there. If you’re somebody I know, it might relate to you or somebody you know hehe.. lemme know if you found it.

Hmm.. I’m kinda tired.. haven’t had a bath yet.. braindead actually.. so I’ll continue this some other day then…. (to be cont.)
