Ryo is a cat-girl who made friends with Kitsune shortly after arriving in Yuriba. The two have become very close and consider each other adopted sisters (Kitsune calls her 'Ryo-sis' most of the time). Ryo has recently married and has 5 kittens with her wife. Although she lived with Kitsune during her early time in Yuriba, she now has a home of her own where she lives with her family.
Zana is a demon-girl who happens to be cursed. Unlike the usual situation where a human is cursed with demon form, Zana is a demon who becomes human when exposed to cold water. Needless to say, the rainy season is quite inconvenient for her. She became friends with Kitsune around the same time as Ryo, and still stays with her, not yet having a home of her own. Zana, Ryo, and Kitsune spend a lot of time together and have a 3 musketeers type friendship, always there for each other in times of need.
Athena is a fox-human hybrid (the result of some unusual combination of DNA) and is a good friend of Kitsune. Since she has only one tail, and isn't a true kitsune (ie has no magic), she doesn't make Kitsune feel nervous or intimidated the way that some other fox-kin do, so Kitsune loves spending time with her. Athena and Kitsune enjoy a close friendship full of relaxing times in the spring and some petting on occasion. Kitsune is considering asking her to become a 'pet buddy' because of how close they are currently. Athena's girlfriend is Alicia, a young woman who has recently recieved the angel curse. Unfortunately, Alicia was already a bit unstable mentally, and the sudden transformation caused her to have a nervous breakdown. Alicia currently suffers from multiple personality disorder, and hears voices (possibly schizophrenic as well) and always reffers to herself in the plural form (we). Despite her problems, Kitsune tries to be a good friend to her and is supportive, encouraging Alicia to work through her problems and accept the help of friends.

Lizz is one of Kitsune's dearest friends, and one of the ones who has known her longest. She is human, but for some reason, she happens to bear a set of beautiful lime green angel wings (no one is quite sure how she came by these, as it does not appear to be the result of a curse) Lizz is a maker of chocolate confections (Kitsune unfortunately is allergic to chocolate) and has actually invented a chocolate substitute that doesn't cause Kitsune to have a reaction (Kitsune LOVES them). She is also Kitsune's first 'Pet Buddy' a relationship that gives her a level of trust and intimacy not normally accorded to her other friends. Kitsune values her friendship greatly and always enjoys the time they spend together.
Update:
After two years of close friendship (and a lot of petting) Kitsune and Lizz have finally begun dating! (We all knew it would happen eventually ^_^). The relationship is complicated a bit by the fact that both Kitu and Lizz also have other girlfriends, but the two are getting along great, and are very happy together. Kitsune has even taught Lizz fox-tongue so that they can communicate more easily since her English isn't great.
Update:
After dating for a few months, Lizz has proposed to Kitsune ^_^ No date has been set for the wedding, but they both look forward to it and are making plans for the ceremony. Kitsune's recent club opening has kept her fairly busy, and will likely keep her occupied for a while as she tries to build business, after which they can start looking at specific dates.
Look for a possible spring wedding ^_^

On April 29th, 2006 Kitsune Inari and her Fiance Lizz were married in a small but traditional Fox-Wedding in Yuriba Park. Breisleach officiated the ceremony, and the guests included Kitu's best friend Neko, as well as about a half dozen other guests.
