Sickness

She spreads her disease,
that thin veil of miasma
never even realizing that
her poisoned attitude
afflicts everyone it touches
in some minute
but recognizable way...

She spreads her sickness
like a fog of pestilence
something has opaqued
the view of all in the radius
of this madwoman
emanating dangerous rays
violating the space of hearts...

She spreads her illness
as though a mildewed coat
it adheres to all it touches
tenacious and unsavory,
her scourge affacing
each sufferer's demeanor
causing plague here in our climate...
