There they stood,
shining,
side-by-side
Long-necked
double-barreled;
smooth trigger-glide
Recently bored
well-oiled,
ballistically matched.
Gifts given today
of lead shot
and flannel patch...
I do, said they
and: off a pair
for open-season
OK, the theme
was weddings -
did I need a better reason?!
