Welcome to A Kat's Tale, version 2...
Look at you! You look like a little kitty!
This particular page is my extremely fascinating bio (or something close to it, anyway hahaha)... Actually, I thought I'd just ramble for a while about yours truly. :D
Wanna hear bout something freaky: At a certain beach in SoCal, the sand glows at night when you step on it. At least it did when I was last there several years ago. That beach is actually within sight of a nuclear power plant. Needless to say, I haven't gone back there. Never trust anything that can think for itself if you can't see where it keeps it's brain. -Arthur Weasley
*nodding wisely* Sage advice from a literary character.
"Jump into bed and cover up your head, 'cause Santa Claus comes tonight".
You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find eternity in the moment. -Henry David Thoreau
nuqDaq yuch Dapol -Unknown Klingon
Buffy, accusingly:"I wouldn't put it past her. She's recently evil, you know!"
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. -Mark Twain
Hail Hail Rock 'n' Roll! -Chuck Berry
All you need is love. -John Lennon
Do... or do not. There is no try. -Jedi Master Yoda
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. -Eleanor Roosevelt
And, lastly, here are some of my favorite movies:
KissKat79 was here! The following table will lead you to some of my favorite links in no particular order:
(By the way, this page is best viewed in 800x600 screen res. lmao)
(If, for some reason, you got here by some other link than my main page and you want to check that out before you read this, here's the link: KissKat's Scratching Post)
I'll try to keep it short, but I'm not making any promises whatsoever! So, here goes nothing...
Let's start with my name... You may address me as Kat or Kiss or even Lost Angel... Quite frankly, I'm sick and tired of being asked "Is that your REAL name?". It is as long as I say it is, pal...
If you still can't accept this, that's YOUR problem, not mine. Don't like it?
*points to the exit*
Don't let the door hit you on the way out...
*clears throat*
Ok, moving on.
I was born in 1979 somewhere in the western U.S. (Quiet... I'm not telling you where.)
My birthday's in late July, so I'm a Leo, my number is 9, I'm right-handed, and I'm listening to the Clash ('Jail Guitar Doors') as I type all this.
I checked out a book on HTML from the library and I've been teaching myself some pretty interesting stuff.
Take this entire page, for example. It's covered with
HTML
(Hypertext Markup Langauge) and
CSS
(Cascading Style Sheets). (I tried to insert a pic as the background, but it interfered with the text, so no pic. Yet.)
I'm mostly vegetarian. I'm right-handed. I am usually dressed in black, and am a fairly good artist. Or so I've been told. Ha, I don't see it. *shrugs*
Anyway, I love to stargaze, although it's hard to see the more faint constellations here in the city. My faves: Orion and Draco. I am a total night owl; I stay up all night sometimes.
Halloween is my favorite holiday, followed by my birthday... lol (God, I feel old...)
*furrows brow* Mmm, let's see, what else...?
I enjoy playing pool (both real and virtual). And I'll tell you right now, I totally suck at it... I couldn't play to save my life. lol
I have a tiny cactus (the thin straight kind with the little spines growing out of it), several bamboo plants (they're supposed to bring good luck... I'm still waiting for some... lmao), and one beautiful Peace Lily. I absolutely love my plants. :)
Oh yeah. I'm what is known as 'straight edge'. That means I don't drink alcohol, use tobacco, or take drugs. Ya know, it's not the fact I can't stand the smell of cigarette smoke or alcohol, or the illegality of some drugs, or even the well-documented hazards of using any of that crap... it's a personal choice I made a long time ago.
*yawns* Get on with it, would ya?! lol
I've been up and down the West coast and seen a lot of crazy crap. I've experienced the weirdness that is Tijuana, Mexico. (Don't even ask.)
I have visited OR., WA., and CA. (and found some damn scary rest areas along the way). Word of advice: Trust your instincts.
I've cruised along Lover's Lane, roamed around Wall Street, and got lost on Wilshire Blvd. (Long story short: it was 3 am and my first time in L.A.) Haha. I even found Easy Street, but didn't stay long. (All of these are real streets, by the way, and all are in California. Where else? lol)
I've lived through several earthquakes, some big, some little. Have you ever seen the ground actually ripple? I have. And I'll tell ya, it scared the hell out of me... More advice: Stock up on clean water and batteries. Oh yeah, and don't panic. lmao
I absolutely adore the ocean & bodysurfing No surfboard, just me and the waves, baby. Ooh yah!
I once asked my sis, Modzrule how she'd describe me and this is what she said: "...kind, just, loyal, artistic, musical, intelligent, good sense of humor, but don't wake her up too early, then she turns into a wookiee."
It's all true, too. Even the Wookiee part. ESPECIALLY the Wookiee part!
*snickers*

But wait! There's more!
Still reading?
There once was a crazy old man from Bree
who couldn't really see
He sat down on a hog
thinking it was just a log
The hog gave a great cough
Crazy old man fell off
And the people laughed with glee
saying "You know, he can't really see; that crazy old man from Bree!"
Oh god! Even I can't stand to read my poems. *giggles mischiviously*
Roses are red
Grass is green
Some of these poems

Solo: Listen, sister, I take orders from one person. Me!
Organa: It's a wonder you're still alive. Will someone get this walking carpet out of my way?!

You have reached The End. Go away.
