Mediums Destroyed: 3 Amber beams of the morning sun struggled past the expensive curtains, illuminating the impressions Seto had made into the mattress. Kira gazed into the empty space beside her, sleepy eyes sore from the sunlight. She shivered visibly, longing for the warmth of the body she'd snuggled against all night. Seto? Kira modestly held the covers to her neck as she sat. Hmm? Seto poked halfway out of the bathroom, his face swallowed by shaving cream. A puffy, white towel hung dangerously low on his waist. It's nothing, she relaxed. He retreated wordlessly into the bath. She glanced about the garments discarded on the floor. Kira giggled as she covered herself in Seto's boxers and dress shirt, rather than the uncomfortable dress she'd worn the day before. Basking in his scent lingering in the articles, she brushed her hair into a low rising bun. Seto was greeted by a supple body cuddling against his leather-swathed chest as he marched outside. Embracing her, he found, was much more soothing than dwelling on the fact that she was wearing his laundry. Breakfast? It was a cross between an invitation and a demand, and he led her to the kitchen without her reply. Kira followed willingly, the aroma of the feast prepared for them tingling her nostrils. He took his place at the head of the table, placing her to his left. Mokuba's vacant seat made the dining room empty. Still, his absence gave Kira an opportunity to ask the question pervading her mind. She took a few polite bites of her syrup-drenched pancakes before breaking the silence, Seto? Nanda? Seto's voice was muffled by the morning newspaper. About last night... He whipped the Business section to the floor, what about it? I just... I wanted to know if you... Kira tugged a piece of bacon about her plate with her fork. I really like you, Seto, and I want to be with you. I know, he bid for her to sit in his lap and she promptly took him up on his offer. Let's be together, then. Influent in Seto-talk, Kira wanted to ask what he meant. Where they a couple now? Or had he suggested something else? She was silent, however, as Seto lifted a piece of pancake to her lips, and she blushed as she chewed it. Praying that she didn't do anything wrong, she held a slice of her own meal to him. Her lips quivered as he ate. How could he manage to do everything so sexily? Somewhere along the way of feeding each other, they opted for passionate kisses. You're sticky, he complained as he pulled away. Syrup dribbled down Seto's chin, and she lapped it away playfully. So are you. He gingerly unclasped her hair while simultaneously unfastening her shirt buttons. Naked blue eyes inquired, mine? Yours, Kira assured him. Then she caressed his face, mine? He combed his fingers through her hair, yours. Their mouths were locked together again. Kira sucked his tongue as he cupped her unbridled breasts. Chuckling in the back of his throat, he shoved her to the floor, where he proceeded to show Kira his desire for her. Yami Yuugi twirled the Sennen Rod in his hand in silent contemplation. He, Honda, and Jounouchi had found the exact location of his vision the night before, even as vague as the revelation had been. It had been a mere block away from Bakuras house, and they all cursed themselves for their stupidity. Wouldnt that have been the first place to look? Still, there was no giant whole in the sidewalk, or distortions that teleportation was rumored to create. Yami had cursed himself again for even looking. Why would Bakuras magic have affected the area? The dark duelist had pulled the same stunt at the hospital and there had been no alterations there. Besides, he wasnt even sure if the vision was one of the past or the future. I have to commend Isis, the other Yuugi mused. She figured out how to use this damn confusing thing all her own. The three of them had thoroughly combed the neighborhood for traces of Bakura, mostly relying on Yami Yuugi to sense his presence. They had returned home empty-handed, which was unsurprising. When Bakura had first disappeared, it was the first place they looked. Whatcha doing, Mou Hitori no Boku? Yuugis face popped out from his desk, where he had been valiantly fighting his mountain of homework. Its nothing, aibou, he replied. Just thinking His answer was too fuzzy. Yuugi plopped beside him on the mattress, starring as he awaited an explanation. There are so many mysteries, so many connections, the Nameless Pharaoh held the Sennen Rod firmly before his eyes. This Sennen Rod is no exception. Its link with Kaiba is no surprise, but I dont know what it has to do with Kira-chan. You're talking about the way the Rod used its magic to shove Bakura off of Kira-chan, right? I don't understand it, either, Yuugi placed his hand on his shoulder. Yami Yuugi clasped his small hand with his own, I wonder if regaining my lost memory is all I need to figure this all out He was interrupted by the annoying buzz of the telephone. Yuugi held the portable to his ear, greeting Jounouchis obnoxious voice that Yami could hear from all the way across the room. They had found Bakura at Domino Museum. Kira sighed as she outreached her limbs on her mattress, mind fluttering with visions of Seto. He had left for Kaiba Corporation with a promise of a swift return, and every minute that ticked by was a slow eternity. She spent many painstaking hours perfecting her appearance for him, but kept to wearing his clothing rather than her own. Yours, his words clung to her memory. He was hers now, all hers. Hugging herself gently, she whispered, and I am his. A fist banged on the door, startling Kira. She vaguely wondered if it was Mokuba summoning her so rudely, but dismissed the idea quickly. Seto's little brother was so unrehearsed in female bedroom ethics that he'd never remember to knock. He'd come close to catching Kira changing multiple times, but she never had the heart to berate him. Mokuba was just too sweet. Why am I so nervous? Kira wondered as she gripped the knob. Her heart was pounding irrationally, but she yanked the door open despite it. BOO! Bakura screamed as he pulled her forward by the hair, then used his remaining arm to knock the sensitive area at the back of neck. Cackling, Bakura hoisted the unconscious Kira to a more suitable area of the mansion. It was time for her to die. Kira groaned as she hazily blinked her eyes open. Her first clouded sight was that of Bakura. He lounged in a leather-cushioned recliner, nonchalantly tossing a golden orb she recognized from Yuugi's stories as the Sennen Eye. The poorly lit room was Seto's study and she knew the hard surface she laid on was a black leather loveseat. She attempted to move to escape, but found her arms bound behind her back. Her ankles were in a similar situation. Her lips were adhered shut by a wad of tape. Noticing her struggle, Bakura leaned over her until he was inches away from her. Took you damn long enough. I have things to do, you know. I can't wait around all day so you can catch up on your beauty sleep. Kira rocked her head backward so she wouldn't have to feel his breath tickling her face. This Bakura was much calmer than the one she remembered. Involuntary tears welled in her eyes. What was he going to do to her? I'm going to kill you, Bakura tugged a switchblade from his jeans. You are a light fighting a war against the darkness... He traced the knife so close to her throat that she could commit suicide by breathing too deeply. All light is consumed by the darkness eventually. However, you are a very annoying light that must be dealt with quickly. Well, I could kill you right now, plain and simple... he shrugged as he set the blade aside. But I figure if I can multi-task, then hey, why not wait a bit? Kira didn't want to know what he meant by 'multi-tasking.' The darkness told me an interesting story. Three thousand years ago, there was a girl who was the vessel of a god. The god grew strong on her strength, but it was unable to protect its container. The girl died, and she and the god were separated by stone. However, they are always connected. Even now, the pain of one is felt by the other. Your boyfriend was at a meeting until just a few moments ago, he changed subjects suddenly. I need him to do something for me. Seto? her whimper was muffled by the tape. She didn't understand a thing that he was saying, yet she understood it all too well. He was reciting information that had forever been forbidden to her: the reason behind her condition. Oh, you bet. He drew close until his hot breath tickled her ear, He's going to kill you for me. Mediums Destroyed: 3 To Be Continued
