| Marik Ishtar was brought up to become a tomb keeper like the rest of his family. His father carved the story of the pharoah into Marik's back. Yami Marik was born when his father was going to kill Odion. In the battle city tournament Marik wants all three egyptian god cards and the Millennium Puzzle. He uses the Millennium Rod to control the minds of people and duel Yugi for him. Yami Marik takes over Marik's body and duels Yami Yugi in the battle-city finals. Yami Marik loses control of the duel and the normal Marik returns and forfeits the duel. He hands The Winged Dragon Of Ra to Yugi.
