Kisara has a powerful spirit within her (Ka) the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. She was found by Priest Seto when the villagers attacked her because she looked different from them, He took Kisara back to the pharoahs palace. Seto's father Akunadin, wanted to see her power and she was forced to fight two prisoners. When she didn't do anything Priest Seto intervined and called out his own ka, Dious. When he was in danger the dragon protected both of them. Kisara was released by Seto only to be killed be his father, once she died she told Seto that she would protect him with the light of her spirit.
In the anime version of the A.E Arc she first sees Priest Seto when they are young. Kisara meets Seto Kaiba when he enters the memory world. She is searching for Priest Seto to save him from the darkness, when she finds him she summons her ka, blue-eyes to protect them, her ka is sealed into a stone tablet and she is then killed by Akunadin when trying to save Priest Seto. In the duel between Pharaoh Atem and the "possesed" Priest Seto she succeeds in freeing his mind from his father
