| Mission 1: Waste Wharf
(part 1 of 2)
As the tide of time churns, we lose precious ground. The
old realms are slipping into the void. Thus, the first armor shard
is out of your immediate reach. Without the blessing of the Elder,
you won't stand a chance against the formless horde. You must make
a mad dash through the Gargoyle's arches to reach the salvation that lies
at its end.
Your quest to become the Celestial begins on the second story of the
Roadhouse. As the Madame had explained, your first shard is out of
reach. What this means to you is that you got to get on your horse
and run your ass off! Grab the Pamphlet behind you to learn about
the Twisters, your melee weapon, and then jump down to the walkway below.
A few Stumps and a Gasbag are going to try to take away the mere 25HP you
have so get going on down that path to the right. The shard is not
far, but its not a cakewalk.
It takes a few kills to get used to the Twisters; lucky for you there's
plenty of Headless and Stumps around to experiment on. Continue on
straight ahead and grab the Windlblade. Use it to rid the sky of
the Gasbags, turn the valve, and then head back to the Roadhouse.
Open the first floor doors of the Roadhouse to find a bunch of ammo
for the Windblade, along with a Gasbag. Bust the windows for even
more ammo and then head down the ramp to the right. Twisters are
great for disposing of Headless but it's better to use your guns for quicker
enemies like the Stump. Sweep through this area, in and around the
crates picking up the items you find. You can "use" the gargoyle
statues to produce Health Vials. Make your way around the building
to the left. Two Spawners are high on a ledge to the far left, take
them out with the Windblade and then put away the rest of the enemies here.
Again, scour the area for Diamonds in the corners and Health Flasks and
ammo, there's a good amount of it here.
In the far left corner, under the Spawners is a wooden board along
the wall that can be shot open. Crawl into the hidden area to find
four Health Flasks and ammo for the Scourge.
Until you get the Boots you can't reach the Key so double back to the
walkway where you acquired the Windblade. Go down the ramp there.
This area has an extreme amount of Health Flasks and ammo to be had.
And, perhaps more importantly, the Scourge is nearby. Use the Windblade
to take out the Gasbags and Spawners right off the bat. Introduce
the Headless to shock therapy and gather up the ammo. A Blademaster
has the high ground and will be firing at you while you grab the goods.
Move away from him towards the busted up wooden platform under the walkway.
Step off the ground and onto the wooden planks. Turn and head
to the right first, gathering up the Diamonds. Quicksave. Walk
to the last bard before the gap. Press the "jump" button and while
in the air tap the "forward" button to get the Jack-in-the-Box. Hit
the radio to tune in "Shout it Out Loud" and then perform the same type
of jump to reach the Scourge.
Climb back up the ramp to the walkway and head for the tunnel at the
far end. On the way, "use" the posters of the jester to reveal lots
of ammo for the Zero Cannon. Kill the Arachniclown with the Windblade
if you haven't already done so and switch to the Scourge. Smack the Strutters
into oblivion and go down the spillway to the left. The room around
the bend contains five Gasbags and a few Strutters. Strafe in and
out of the entryway, whipping the hell out of them as you do. Enter
the next room and turn the valve. Head back out of the tunnels.
Drop down off the ledge and enter the sewer pipe. Dive down into
the tank below, kill the Strutter, Gasbag, and Spawner and swim up into
the pipe over the Spawner. Climb the ladder and continue on ahead.
Kill the Gasbags and Stutters and Quicksave. Jump from the ledge
to the small ledge where the Boots are and get ready for the Tickler and
Gasbags that come for you. Grapple to the hook above to get the Diamonds,
jump down, and head back the way you came. On the way, use your new
jumping ability to grab those Diamonds you passed up on the way in.
When you leave the sewer pipe climb the ladder to the walkway and head
to the right. Jump up the pile of crates and over the fence to the
area where the Blademaster is. Blast him to pieces and jump down
on the ground to grab the Diamonds.
At the far end of the fenced area, on top of the crates is the
Zero Cannon, masquerading as a Secret. Grab it and climb back over
the fence the way you came in.
Before jumping down that pile of crates step out onto the small ledge
near the fence. Walk its length to the two Black Diamonds as the
end.
Jump off the explosive canister onto the crate with the Rage Orb.
The Secret component of this one is reaching the top of the crate.
Run back and head around the building to the area you first explored
near the Key.
On the wall across from the Key are three bricks that stick out enough
to jump to. Run and jump to the lowest one and then perform small
leaps to the second, and from there to the roof. Awaiting you at
this Secret is a stash of ammo for your Windblade.
With the Key head for the locked door. Before h eading in, crawl
under the ramp to grab another Blood Rose. This should put you at
250HP.
As you open the door a Headless and Strongman come to stop you.
Bust out the Windblade and smoke the two of them. The doors close
once the Strongman dies so you better get in there quick. Head to
the end of the hall and open the wooden doors. |

| Mission 1: Waste Wharf
(part 2 of 2)
Area two begins with "Love Gun" pumping from a stereo in the newsstand
ahead. Too bad you have to drown it out with the tat-tat-tat of the
Zero Cannon as you mow down the Stumps to the right and the Gasbag in the
newsstand. Jump up and grab the Blood Rose from above the magazine
rack.
Begin down the hall to the left of the magazine rack, but beware!
There's a Meanie Beanie right above that ammo you're about to grab.
Run through the hall and blast the Spawner around the corner to the right.
Head back to the room with the skulls on the wall. Grapple to the
hook in the ceiling, turn and "use" the skulls to drop Health Vials.
Jump onto the ledge for the Diamonds, and then jump across to the other
ledge for more of the same. Head back down the hall to where the
Spawner was and grab the Key.
Return to the beginning of the mission, blasting another Meanie Beanie
out of the air along the way. Enter the other hallway and open the
door on the left. Smoke the Tickler hovering around in their and
grab the ammo from the toilet.
Enter each of the stalls in the bathroom and flush the toilets.
To do so, you will have to precisely position your cross-hairs on the handle.
After flushing them turn and jump up each of the extended bricks to reach
the ledge above. Grab the ammo and the Rage Orb and jump down.
Leave the bathroom and enter the door to the elevator across the room.
You will emerge in the basement with two Unipsychos heading straight for
you. Circle around the room and blast them with the Windblade.
Grab the ammo and health strewn throughout and then head up the ramp in
the center to the war zone that awaits.
Slice your way across the floor to the angled beam in the rear of the
area. Quickly drop down to the ledge to your left and begin to follow
the ledge along the length of the area. Use the Windblade along the
way to take out the four Spawners above you. Switch back to the Zero
Cannon to take care of the Stumps and Headless running around and criss-cross
your way across the beams, collecting the ammo in the centers as you go.
Return the way came, and head up the ramp to the right.
Above are two Arachniclowns, a Spawner, and the requisite Headless and
Stumps. Take them all out with the Windblade and Twisters, grab the
ammo and Health Flasks and drop down to the landing below. Two more
Arachniclowns lie across the open air on another platform. Climb
up the angled beam and strafe side to side on this ledge while you blast
away at the Clowns. Tip-toe your way to the Hawk Eyes, where two
Gasbags will bust out ahead of you. Take them out with the Windblade
and move across to the landing. Grab the ammo and kill the Ballbuster
near the door on the right. Follow the path around to the Looking
Glass. You're on your way out of the Wharfs. |

Mission 2: Poison Plant
(part 1 of 2)
Standing as testimony to man's pride, the Poison Plant spreads its pollution
in this realm as it does through all others. You must venture deep
into its toxic bowels to free the two artifacts your quest requires.
Seek out its core, and this will set you on your path to the hall of mirrors.
You begin right outside the Rock City Nuclear Power Plant. Before
you head in though, you better turn around and light up that Blademaster
on the rocks above you. Grab the ammo and the Twister and fry the
Headless that attack as you head up the path and around the corner to the
right.
Two Ballbusters stand watch in a prison-style watch tower on the left.
A Spawner further down the path creates an endless stream of Stumps for
you to annihilate. Depending on where you stand, only one Ballbuster
can fire at you at a time. Use this to your advantage.
Continue past the drawbridge and past the door on the left. Another
Spawner lies around the bend. Take it and the Stumps out of business,
grab the ammo and then run around the side of the reactor to grab the Health
and Jack-in-the-Box.
Head back to the door you passed, enter it and "use" the Dr. Love machine
to get a Health Vial. Ahhhhh, refreshing! Now use the lever
to lower the drawbridge. Leave the room and head back to the bridge.
The tunnel ahead is not as quiet as it first appears. Dozens of Headless
emerge to prevent your passing. Switch to the Twisters and enjoy
your seafood the North Carolina way—fried! At the T-junction head
to the left, run up the ramp and flip the lever. Grab the Windblade
and strafe back and forth across the pipe while you light up the two Arachniclowns
that attack. Head to the other end of the tunnel.
A Spawner left of the entrance and one in the far left corner must be
destroyed. The latter of which spews Gasbags at you. Climb
the ladder to obtain the Belt shard. Turn and leap for the pipe to
get the ammo and health and climb back up the ladder. Run through
the tunnel, killing the Headless and dodging the electric laser traps.
Jump onto the platform and switch to the Scourge.
A Meanie Beanie hovering to your right needs a good spanking.
Discipline that little punk. Ahead on the left is an Arachniclown
guarding the Exit. He doesn't move so just sidestep his lasers while
you pummel him with the Windblade. Run to the end of the walkway
to grab a Blood Rose and then jump onto the roof of the structure with
the ammo. Grab the ammo and climb down the ladders at either end
to grab the Jack-in-the-Boxes. Head to the Exit. |

| Mission 2: Poison Plant
(part 2 of 2)
Run up the ramp to the central control center. Twister-fy the
four Headless that attack from the left and enter the corridor on the right.
Take out the Tickler with the Magma Cannon and enter the first door on
the right. Smash the Spawner to the tunes of "Detroit Rock City"
and bust open the grating near the floor. Crawl into the vent to
get the Diamonds there. Leave and approach the door on the left.
It short circuits while opening. Turn and enter the door on the right.
Crush the Spawner and Stumps in this next room and blow out the
vent grating. Duck inside and turn to the left. Don't worry
this isn't another Morbid Manor scenario.
Continue crawling through the ductwork until you come to the grating.
Shoot it out to enter the break room. Use the soda machines and microwave
and grab the goodies throughout the room. The door is still broken
so leave the way you came in.
Back in the hallway, press the button on the terminals along the wall
to turn off the force field in the other corridor. Run up the ramp
and around the control center, gun in hand. A Spawner at the top
of the ramp is sending Stump after Stump towards you. Forge your
way through the madness with the Zero Cannon and switch to the Magma Cannon
to take out the Spawner. Step back as soon as you do. A Ballbuster
and two Spawners are ahead to the right. Use a Rage Orb to help boost
you through this section as the numbers of enemies can get out of hand
pretty quickly. Fire the Windblade at the Spawners and Ballbuster
and then switch to your weapon of choice for those remaining.
Continue ahead, grab the health and ammo and enter the door on the left.
A Ballbuster stands guard inside the room, along with some horde creatures.
Strafe back and forth outside the room while nailing him with the Windblade.
Enter the room, kill those still kicking and grab the ammo. Before
leaving, press the button on the terminal across from the door to turn
off the next force field.
Climb the stairs to the left to the master computer station. Push
the button to allow access to the Vest shard in the next corridor.
As soon as you do a dozen or so Stumps and Headless leap through the glass
above to get you. Simply turn around and fire away with the Zero
Cannon.
Once the Stumps are gone, switch to the Twisters to conserve ammo.
Go grab the Vest.
Continue down the stairs and blast the Spawner on the right. Cross
the room and enter the hallway opposite the Spawner. A Blademaster
will attack from the left at the T-junction. Once you kill him, Stumps
and Headless will charge you as well. Head back to the computer room
with all the windows and break out the Windblade. Across the gap
a Ballbuster guards the Looking Glass. Break the windows and gun
him down. Jump through the window and grab the items on the floor
and head to the right. You will end up back in the large room you
just exited. Head back down the other hallway on the right and make
a left to head back to where you fought the Blademaster.
Enter the small corridor on the left and follow it all the way straight
ahead to the Arachniclown. Once you best him gather up all the items
and approach the rear wall.
Shoot out the vent above the computers and jump into the ductwork.
Follow it until it spits you out in the other secret area of the mission.
Grab the Diamonds, Jack-in-the-Box, and ammo waiting here for you.
Return the way you came.
Push the buttons to empty tanks 1 and 2 and get moving. Run back
down the hall, past the Stumps that attack and enter the doorway on the
left. Make a right and grab the Jack-in-the-Box and disarm the force
field. Pass back through the door and continue moving ahead to the
tanks. The first tank you come to has a Ballbuster on the ledge across
from you. Climb down the ladder as soon as you can to get out of
his sight. There you can take out the Spawner and Gasbags in relative
peace.
Climb the ladder and head to the second tank. Climb down the ladder
and take out the Spawner before even more Meanie Beanies come at you.
Climb the ladder out of the tank. Grab the Health Flask and the Galaxion.
The Celestial's special weapon. Test this mother out on the Arachniclown
just ahead. Then, for the sake of avoiding drastic overkill, switch
to the Twisters to blow past the Headless and their Spawner. Continue
ahead through the hordes of Stumps and switch back to the Galaxion.
Around the bend are a pair of Ticklers and a Spawner. One blast blows
them all to hell. You got to love this gun! Take care of any
stragglers and climb the stairs. Work your way to the end of the
path where lies the Looking Glass. |

| Mission 3: Acropolis
(part 1 of 3)
From the tall roof of the city you must climb ever higher. Transcend
the bottomless pits below and ascend to the temple of winds. There
you may set sail to your final trial.
Acropolis takes places on the rooftops of tall inner city buildings.
And that is where you begin. As soon as you begin, arm yourself with
the Windblade and turn around. On the ledge of the next building
is a Ballbuster who wastes no time in working you over. Change to
the Magma Cannon and start picking off the Gasbags that show up.
Grab the ammo that gets dropped and climb the ladder to the "Cold Gin"
billboard. Run and jump to the building across the way.
Slaughter the Headless that begin to swarm you with the Twister and
head around to the side of the building for the ammo and Hawk Eye.
Step off the rear of the building just beyond the ladder that
goes up to the Hawk Eye. Below on a hidden ledge will be a Rage Orb
waiting for you. Climb up the ladder.
Use the Windblade to take out the Ballbusters that seem to be firing
from every direction, Step out onto the top of the fence to grab
the Health Vials and, if you need more health, run and jump to grab the
Health Flask on top of the door below. Make your way back onto this
roof and run up the plank to the next rooftop.
Climb up the ladder to the "Strutters" billboard and jump onto
the ledge of the building to the left. Walk the ledge to the back
of the billboard and jump onto its walkway to grab the Secret Jack-in-the-Boxes.
Jump down and run across the plank to the building on the left.
Around the corner is a Spawner spitting out a couple of Stumps. Also,
you will encounter several Ballbusters as you work your way around the
building. After clearing out the Ballbusters, turn your sights towards
the Unipsycho in the distance.
Step onto the ledge and follow it around to the next building.
Along the way, blast away at the Fat Lady on the billboard above.
Kill the Ballbusters on the distant rooftops. You can use the Scourge
for this if you're running low on ammo for the Windblade. Climb the
succession of ladders to blue billboard above. Jump off the left
edge to land on the catwalk near a Blood Rose.
Climb the ladder near the "Crazy Nights" sign and switch to the Magma
Cannon. Leap up the pile of crates towards the Stumps and their Spawner.
Light them all up to the tune of "Cold Gin". A Tickler will attempt
to defend the Spawner so be on the lookout. Grapple up to the billboard
to grab the pamphlet and jump back down. Using the Scourge, whip
the Fat Lady into submission without the annoyance of being shot at.
Strafe a touch to the left and take out the Ballbuster in the alley below.
If you position yourself just right, his cannonballs won't get past the
side of the building. Again allowing you to whoop some ass in relative
safety.
Jump down (or use the ladder) to where the Fat Lady was to grab the
Key. Run and jump to the rooftop to where the Ballbuster was and
enter the alley. Another Fat Lady is directly ahead. Take her
out while weaving in and out of the alley to avoid her distorted weaponry.
Approach the side alley and step up onto the ledge on the right.
Run its length to grab the ammo.
Jump off the ledge to the small platform below near the chimney.
Around the front of the chimney is a Blood Rose. Climb the ladder
and jump to the steeple where the Unipsycho was.
Walk around to the right and drop down onto the ledge. Smash the
two Spawners ahead with the Scourge and then drop down into the pit below
the Billboard to collect the ammo. Climb the ladder behind the drums
and take out the Ballbuster ahead and the one to the left. Climb
the ladder on the left and blast away the Balbuster and Blademaster above.
To the left there is a ladder going back up to the steeple. Climb
it and run and jump to the nearest Health Flask on top of the doorway.
From here, jump to the lower roof and then up onto the walkway where the
Blademaster was. Grab the item and leap to the lower rooftop with
the canisters and Health Flasks on it. There is a Fat Lady just out
of sight, blocking the alley. Gib her with the Scourge and move on.
Kill the Spawner and Stumps on the level below and jump onto the billboard
to grab the Hawk Eye. Drop down, grab the ammo, and open the door
in the far corner.
Drop onto the ledge and kill the Unipsycho in the distance along with
any Gasbags that pop out of the abyss. Walk the ledge and descend
the ladder to where the Unipsycho was. Run up the plank to the next
rooftop, kill the Ballbuster and Unipsycho to the right and climb the ladder
to reach another plank.
Cross to the far edge of this rooftop and descend the ladder to
the Secret platform below. Grab the Jack-in-the-Box and head back
up the ladder.
Step onto the ledge near the wooden plank and follow it to the left.
Take out the Fat Lady near the exit and then enter the doorway she guarded
to move onto the next area. |

| Mission 3: Acropolis
(part 2 of 3)
You begin the second area on a small ledge with a Blademaster above
you and a Ballbuster to the far right. Grab the ammo on the left
and jump down to the platform below. Turn and take out the Blademaster
above along with the Ballbuster and Tickler that got you under fire.
Grapple to the hook above the Blademaster's body. Here you
will find a Secret Blood Rose.
Jump down to the lower ledge again and make a running leap for the rooftop
to the right. Grab the ammo and jump the wall to the adjoining roof.
Grab the Twisters and electrify the Stumps and Spawner to the left.
Head back the other direction and do the same to the Spawner around the
corner. Now, bust the crate and take out the Spawner inside it as
well. Switch to a ranged weapon and blast the Ballbuster to the right.
Grab the Health off of the crate by jumping from the skylights. Head
back to where the first Spawner you killed was.
Jump the wall to the next rooftop and grab the ammo. Kill the
Ballbuster on the building ahead and follow the walkway all the way to
the right, around the building.
Another Jack-in-the-Box lies on a platform below you. Descend
the ladder to nab this Secret and then return the way you came.
Turn on the Twisters and fight your way through the Stumps up and over
the stacked boxes to the Spawner just beyond. Grab the Scourge or
Zero Cannon and nail the Meanie Beanie that appears. Pick up the
health on the left and jump to the steeple on the right. Run to the
left to get more health and a Jack-in-the-Box from the "Cold Gin" billboard.
Head back around the steeple to the walkway where the ammo is. Waste
the Ballbuster in the distance, grab the ammo and turn towards the Spawner
on the right.
Use the Windblade to take out the Spawner and the majority of the Stumps.
Take a running leap across the gap to the crates and from there onto the
rooftop where the Spawner was. Kill any remaining Stumps and grab
the ammo and Health. Climb the ladder and use the Twister to put
away the Strutters and their Spawner. Then smack the Blademaster
into oblivion with the Magma Cannon.
Jump down to the rooftop on the right and kill off the Headless and
Tickler that attack. Climb up to the billboard and grab the Hawk
Eye. The area to the right, is one that you had already been through.
However, this time you must get across it via the ledges. If you
fall, you will have to backtrack through the majority of the area.
So don't fall.
Run and jump to the ledge across from you. Kill the Ballbuster
above you and head to the far end of the ledge. A Tickler, Headless,
and a Spawner threaten your existence. Put them down and approach
the crates.
Carefully jump onto the ledge and, from there, jump onto the crates.
Jump up the pile towards the neon sign to find the Secret Rage Orb.
Jump back down the crates and head past the Spawner onto the slanted
roof on the left. Run and jump to the roof on the left. Grab
the ammo, use a Rage Orb to help take out the two Unipsychos on the ledges
in the distance. Also, a Tickler and a Blademaster need to be killed
before you proceed. Hug the wall to the left and drop down onto the
ledge below where the Health Vials are.
Insert Fig: kiss1094
Grapple to the hook above to grab the Angel Charm lying behind
the billboard.
Jump down onto the ledge to where the Unipsycho was and follow it around
to the large glass rooftop. Grab the Twisters and plow your way through
the hordes of Headless to the two Spawners being careful to dodge the putrid
nastiness the Fat Lady throws at you.
Head towards the "Deuce Gasoline" billboard by sliding down the angled
glass. Grab the Health Flask and then detonate the canisters near
the glass, thereby giving you a way in. Switch to the Twisters and
drop in. A Strongman across the room will need to be kept an eye
on, but take out the two Spawners and the Headless first. Grab the
Magma Cannon and knock big guy out. Grab the Key from across the
room on the right and unlock the door nearest where you came in.
Grapple to the hook above and walk the plank over to the billboard.
As you grab the ammo and the Blood Rose here, some Headless will bust through
the windows. Kill them and head back into the stairwell.
Leave the stairwell on the second floor armed with the Twisters, Scourge,
or Zero Cannon. The reason is the two Blademasters that attack within
close range. After you put them to death walk out onto the beams
to grab the Health Flasks if you need to and then head around the desk
to the rear. Nearly twenty Headless drop through the glass above
to stop you from reaching the Key in the corner. Fry them all and
grab the items and head back down the stairs to the other locked door.
A Spawner, Headless, and two Blademasters lie beyond that locked door.
Slaughter them all, grab the Health and open the large metal doors.
Arm yourself with the Magma Cannon, or Galaxion and grab the Plate in the
center of the hall. The doors lock shut and three Ticklers bust through
the glass. Line a couple of them up with and fire the Galaxion to
quickly reduce your work load. Once the last one is dead, the doors
open and you are given a Spawner at the end of the next hall to deal with.
Take him out and head to the right. Blast the Headless and the
Spawner through the opening in the ceiling. Grapple up to the next
floor and take out the Fat Lady above. Run and sizzle the Spawners
at the far end. Step out onto the ledge to the right, grab the health and
then dash across the top of the wall to the larger area on the right.
A Ballbuster will try and knock you off, so move quick. Take out
the two Spawners and the Stumps on the far side then aim your arsenal at
the Ballbuster near the exit.
Grapple to the hook over the large light fixture. Drop down
on top of the fixture to grab a Secret Blood Rose.
Jump down and walk the ledge to the Exit. |

| Mission 3: Acropolis
(part 3 of 3)
After your brief elevator ride you are once again thrown right in the
thick of things. The final area of Acropolis begins with a Ballbuster
and an army of Headless coming for you. The added catch is that one
wrong step spells game over for you. Use the Scourge to take out
the Ballbuster and then, before going after the Headless, shoot the Spawner
ahead of you. Another one is above you. Take it out from across
the room then step onto the ductwork and electrify the Headless there.
Grab the Jack-in-the-Box and then climb the ladder.
On your way up the ladder, if you need Health, step out onto the light
fixture, grab the Health Flask, and if you want more run and jump onto
the ductwork against the wall for another. Head back to the ladder
and continue climbing.
Now step off the ladder to the level of ductwork above. Grab the
ammo from nearby the Spawner behind you and then follow it to the far side
of the room. To your right is a Stump generating Spawner. Take
them out and flip the lever on the wall.
Grapple to the hook above. Kill the Arachniclown below and
drop down to grab the Secret Rage Orb. Follow this walkway around
to the Blood Rose and then return and jump back down to the lever.
Return to the ladder and climb to the top and jump from landing to landing
collecting all of the ammo and health you desire. Return to the base
of the ladder and jump to the main walkway near the wall and head up the
ramp to the now-open doorway.
A Fat Lady will be guarding the entrance, so take her out with the Windblade
prior to entering the next area. Just ahead to the left is a Strongman
and several Headless from an out of reach Spawner. If you venture
into the room far enough to take out the Spawner you risk taking hits from
a distant Ballbuster. Instead, make quick work of the Strongman with
the Windblade and then switch to the Scourge to kill off the rest of them,
including the Ballbuster. Run the ledge along the far wall to grab
the ammo. On the way, three Ticklers will attack as will two more
Ballbusters. Use the Galaxion to take out as many of them as you
can. Finish off the Twisters with the Magma Cannon and the Ballbusters
with the Scourge.
Bash the Spawner around the corner and any Headless they succeed in
producing. Go up the ramp, kill the Spawner and take out the Arachniclown
around the corner. Step out onto the upper ductwork and follow it
to collect ammo and a Chaos Heart. Jump down to the lower ductwork
and approach the row of Spawners on the platform. Take the Spawners
out quickly with the Twister and then grab the Scourge to handle the two
Unipsychos that come after you.
Follow the walkway to the right, where another Spawner is positioned.
Further down, Stumps, a Spawner, and two Ticklers await you. Grab
the Health Vials and the ammo and then turn your Windblade loose on the
three Ballbusters on the ledges below to the right.
In the corner, near the Health Vials is a vent that you can shoot open
and enter. Climb the ladder inside and shoot out the venting on the
left. Step onto the ductwork and drop down to the right to grab the
Black Diamonds.
Shoot through the venting directly in front of you and climb the ladder
inside. Once again, bust out of the ductwork via the vent on the
left. Walk out and grab the Secret Blood Rose.
Run off the to the left to grab the Jack-in-the-Box and jump down to the
right.
Return to where you first entered the ductwork and step off the ledge
onto the Jack-in-the-Box to the right. Jump your way across to the
doorway in the corner. Once on the landing, hug the wall and make
your way around the ledge to the right to grab some ammo (this should be
a Secret but isn't). Head back around the ledge and proceed down
the hallway, blasting away at the Stumps and Tickler as you go.
Grab the Health Flask and descend the ladder. Run the loop to
the platform and kill the three Stumps there. Climb the ladder to
the ledge high above and immediately kill the Ballbuster standing above
with his back to you. Jump onto the ductwork to grab
the Health and climb the ramp to the left.
A seemingly endless stream of Meanie Beanies will emerge from
the red screen on the wall. Don't worry you only have to kill five
them. At which time, a Blood Rose and Rage Orb will appear on the
altar.
Beyond the red screen is a hallway that will take you to the Looking
Glass. Before you head off down that path carefully walk around the
left side of the wall to grab the Secret Angel Charm.
Run down the hallway to the hot air balloon and the two Blademasters
that flank it. Enjoy your invincibility and run up the steps and
slaughter them both. Head for the Looking Glass to leave this place. |

Mission 4: Midway
(part 1 of 2)
The Midway of Madness hides the Cel estial's Mask, the crowning glory
of your transformation. With it, you will unlock your destiny, restore
the realm to its elemental purity, and prove yourself a worthy avatar of
the Elder. But be warned, your newfound might will be put to the
test at the hands of Stargrave's hollow specter.
Begin this funhouse by stepping off the platform and grabbing the Health
Flask and ammo under the stairs. Before you head down the main steps
across the abyss, do yourself a favor and take out the three Blademasters
that guard the entrance. From your position, you can easily duck
any blades you may find bearing down on you.
Jump to where the Blademaster on the left was. Grab the ammo and
enter the corridor that goes behind the entrance. Push the button
to turn off the force field and use the Twisters to fry the Ballbuster
just ahead. Grab the Jack-in-the-Box from the ledge ahead and return
to climb the ladder. Enter Midway.
Grab the Pamphlet and continue on. Take out the Spawner to the
left and then move across the room towards the Stumps on the right.
Use the Galaxion to take them out along with their Spawner in one big shot;
allowing you to devote more concentration on the Ballbusters across the
water.
Follow the walkway up the steps past the collapsed Spawner. Jump
onto the small ledge and jump over to where the Ballbusters were so as
to collect the ammo. Return to the main path and continue on.
Carefully jump the electric traps as you continue to the room with the
ammo in the corners. Two Headless will fall from the ceiling.
Grab the Scourge to take them out and move to the right hand corner next
to the exit. Whip the Spawner into submission along with the Stumps
on the stairs. Before leaving the safety of the room, kill the Unipsycho
on the building across the way.
Equip yourself with the Windblade and take a step or two out of the
room while facing to the right. An Arachniclown and a Ballbuster
have you in a crossfire but don't worry, the Ballbuster can't shoot you
if you stay near the doorway. Once you put the two of them away,
proceed down the steps and jump to where the Arachniclown was to get the
items. Continue on up the stairs, pausing only to take out the Ballbuster
in the tower.
At the top of the stairs you will find the Admit One" ticket to the
carnival. Grab it, fall through the hole, and continue up the stairs
again. This time, jump to where the first Ballbuster was to grab
the items, jump back onto the stairs and head back up the path past the
electric traps to where you entered the carnival.
Deposit your ticket in the box at the end of the ramp to turn off the
force field. Head down the hall, equip with the Galaxion, use a Rage
Orb and grab the Elder Mask in the center of the large room ahead.
Ticklers, Meanie Beanies, Gasbags, and Spawners all appear. Kill
as much as you can with the Galaxion and then take out the Spawners on
the ledge above. Use the Zero Cannon for the quick little Meanie
Beanies, and the Scourge and Magma Cannon work well on the others.
After killing the Spawners, you may wish to reenter the hallway you came
from. This will protect you from the Meanie Beanies and also cause
the enemies to funnel into you.
Enter the alcove to the right of where you came in and climb the stairs.
After making the turn to the left, a Ballbuster will begin firing at you
from above. Take him out with two shots of the Windblade and keep
moving.
At the top of the stairs you will meet the Grinder. Beware his
extremely fast firing rate as you whoop up on him with the Windblade.
Take out the two Spawners and Stumps that flank him and head around to
the platform in back.
Head to the right and descend the ladder. Crawl around the
busted screen to find several items in this Secret spot.
Back on the platform, head around the left side of this area.
Kill the two Meanie Beanies in the corner on the left and continue on.
Pass by the Fat Lady for now and destroy the Spawner in the rear corner.
Continue around the area to the other side.
Open the door and descend the ladder to find the other Secret
area at Midway.
Climb back up the ladder and return to where you began this area.
Jump onto the triangular ledge where the Spawner is. Carefully walk
the perimeter of this wall, jumping around the light poles, to gather up
the remaining items in this mission. When done, gib the Fat Lady
in the narrow corridor to proceed to the Exit which she guards. |

| Mission 4: Midway
(part 2 of 2)
Boss: Stargrave
The boss of the Air Realm is Stargrave, your not-so-ordinary guy on
stilts. Stargrave busts out of shackles to end your romp through
his world. Stargrave has three ways in which he can hurt you.
Throughout the fight, whenever your distant from him, he throws shockifying
skulls at you. They will bounce after you and can electrify you without
hitting you. Your best bet is to run and jump away from them as they
will not shock you while in the air. The second weapon of his is
a powerful laser blast that he fires like an assault rifle. By continuously
circling him and keeping your distance you should be able to avoid this
as well. Finally, his third method of inflicting pain is by simply
kicking those who come too close. Don't come too close and you'll
have nothing to worry about.
The Galaxion, Windblade, and Magma Cannon work well against Stargrave.
However, once you drain his life meter, he recharges via the electrical
charging stations throughout the arena. Only after his first recharge
can you begin wailing on the charging stations. To your benefit there
is good amount of regenerating Health Flasks and ammo on the platform encircling
the arena. Take out the charging stations with the Magma Cannon and
use the Galaxion on Stargrave. But, remember! Aim for the legs,
they're the weakest part of a man on stilts.
Even with all of the charging stations destroyed, Stargrave will draw
one last boost of power from the light sources in the room. Keep
on the run, watching out for the pit in the center of the room, and blast
him from afar. If you find yourself near him duck behind the charger
for cover and switch to a weapon that won't harm you when fired at close
range, like the Scourge.
You've smashed the opposition and turned the tide of the spawn of doom.
For this, you have my eternal gratitude, but still the realm of fire lies
in shackles. |
On to the Fire Realm...
