Mission 1: Doom Forge

(part 1 of 3)

From the scorched remnants of the roadhouse you must venture deep inside the steel mill and wage furious battle to prevail.  Behind the artifacts of the Elder you'll find the mirrored passage that spells success.  But be warned mortal!  I sense a new depth to the surrounding darkness.  Necromancy has infested this realm.  Beware the black hood that plays your requiem!

Once again you begin in an altered form of the Roadhouse unarmed with a mere 25HP.  Wait for the Headless to fall through the pit then head to the Pamphlet in the corner.  Flip the lever to turn off the flame and head into the next room to grab the Gauntlets and the Punisher, one of the most bad-ass weapons in all of gaming!  Sort of.  Unfortunately, its depressing rate of fire counteracts its gib-inducing strengths.  Only use it when swarmed.

Bust through the crates and kill the Headless and Spawners in the next room.  Open the doors and grab the Magma Cannon.  Puree the Headless that jump you and move on through the other door.  Slice your way up the stairs and take out the Spawner.  Grab the Health Vial from the beam and jump down through the small hole in the floor (not near the beam) and start blasting away at the Unipsycho.  Grab the Health from the corners of the room and open the bay door to exit.

Kill the Stump and walk the edge around to the items.  Drop down to the platform below and take out the Spawner and Headless before jumping down again.  Grab the items and take out the Grinder in the hall to your right.  Grab the Health and open the doors behind the body of the Grinder.  A Spawner emitting Gasbags is on the loft in front of you.  Blast them out of the sky.  While still in the entryway, turn on the Jukebox to hear "God of Thunder".  Wait for the song to finish to grab the ammo.  Carefully walk the ledge around to the right to grab the items near the amps.  Jump back over and swing around to the left.  A Ballbuster from across the room will begin firing at you.  Stand behind the center post so as to not get hit and blast away at him with the Magma Cannon.  Grab the Windblade and approach the bar.

 Jump from the bar onto the tipped over jester poster.  From there, jump to the side rail of the dilapidated staircase.  Tip-toe up to the loft to grab the items waiting for you Secretively.

Jump back down and exit the room left of the liquor shelf.  As soon as you enter the next hall a Tickler is on you.  Hack him up with the Punisher and switch to the Magma Cannon.  Another one is just ahead.  Make your way to the right first.  When the coast is clear, jump across the gap in the floor to the door on the left.  Open it and grab the Chaos Heart hiding here.  Jump back across and continue down the hall.

 Crawl under the half-open bay door and onto the tiny ledge on the left.  Walk around the post to find a Secret Blood Rose.  Head back to where you left the bar.

Pass through the doorway and kill the Stumps and Spawner on the right.  Grab the Health Vial from the angled beam and head down the stairs to the Exit.

Mission 1: Doom Forge

(part 2 of 3)

Run down the hallway, kill the two Stumps and switch to the Magma Cannon.  As you open the door you will be attacked by a Tickler.  Shoot the Tickler and grab the Punisher to lay a hurting on the Headless and their Spawner.  Grab the Diamonds from under the stairs and head to the left.  Climb the ladder and watch the flames in the blast furnace.  As soon as the flames begin to fade, dash through to the opening on the other side.  Continue on to the next ladder.  Your efforts will be rewarded at the top of the tower with the Boots.  Walk along the edge to grab the pamphlet, health, and ammo then shoot through the windows and enter the building.

 Before heading into the building jump from the ledge to the furnace you first climbed up.  From there, carefully jump to the ledge to grab the Diamonds and Jack-in-the-Box.

Send a shot from the Windblade across the room to take out the Spawner and open the doors around the corner.  Double back into the hall as soon as the doors are opened, as a Ballbuster is right on you, as are several Headless. Once you put them away.  Go for the Spawner in the corner on the left and the Ballbuster on the roof directly ahead of you.  Descend the ladder and kill the Unipsycho.  Go through the opening into the alley.  Alternate swipes of the Punisher with shots from the Windblade to take out the Arachniclown and Spawner in the distance, as well as the Headless that approach you.  Grab the ammo from the far end of the alley and enter the building you pass on your right.

 A Tickler and the Stumps from two Spawners attempt to guard a lever in the corner of the room.  Quickly get off a round or two of the Windblade in the direction of the Spawners and then grab the Punisher to take care of the Stumps and Tickler (if he comes close enough).  Flip the lever to lower the lift.  Of course it will not come down empty.  Gib the Ballbuster as he steps off the lift.  Ride it up and blast the Strutter at the top.

Grab the health and then run up the stairs.  Blast the Spawner and company from across the way and switch to the Magma Cannon.  Just left of the doorway is a Unipsycho waiting for you to exit the stairwell.  Waste him too and then grab the ammo.  Flip the lever to open the door at the base of the stairs you just came up.  Head back down and go through the door to ride another lift down.

With the Magma Cannon in hand, begin strafing around the room and firing.  Two Ballbusters and a gang of Headless will be attacking at once.  As long as you keep circling the room, the Headless won't be able to dig their claws in and the Ballbusters shouldn't be able to line up a good shot.  Grab the ammo and health and climb the steps to the loading dock.  Leave the room through the open door.

Kill the Spawner and Stumps to your left as fast as possible.  Then weave your way through the pile of crates, picking up the Health Vials along the way.  A Stump and a Ballbuster hide within the stack so be on the ready with the Magma Cannon.  Leave the room and take out the Spawner at the top of the stairs and begin ascend the stairs.  You will come out of the stairwell high up in the room with the crates.  Jump from beam to beam to continue on through the opening on the other side.

  Just past the second beam on the right are a couple of items amongst the crates below.  Jump down to grab them and return up the stairs to continue.

Break through the window on the left and follow the walkway around to the next doorway.  Strafe in and out of the doorway to kill the Ballbuster and Arachniclown in the next area.  Cross the pit of lava on the walkway and head to the left.  In the next area are two Ballbusters, one at each end.  Once you kill them head down the stairs in the rear of the room, Windblade in hand.

Four Spawners, one in each corner, are setting forth an army of Strutters for you to contend with.  Take out the Spawners as quick as you can and then use the Magma Cannon or Punisher along with Jack-in-the-Boxes to demolish the horde.

Leave through the door marked Exit.

Mission 1: Doom Forge

(part 3 of 3)

Grab the items and Zero Cannon and dodge the flames in the next tunnel.  You will come to a large circular arena where two Unipsychos pedal around feverishly attempting to light all of the pipes aflame.  Once the circle is complete, the room is engulfed in flames.  The Unipsychos will ignore you until you begin firing at them.  Use the Zero Cannon to put out a couple of the lit pipes and then switch to the Magma Cannon and blast away at one of the Unipsychos.  Don't go after the kill just yet, you have to keep putting out the flames.  So switch back to the Zero Cannon and douse a couple of pipes and then go back after the Unipsychos.  Keep this up, all the while grabbing the Health Flasks if you need them, until the two cyclists are dead.

Leave through one of the two doors that open (they both lead to the same place) and grab the items.  Using the Windblade, dispose of the two Ballbusters across the pit.  Once they are dead, grab the Scourge and grapple across to the Looking Glass.  Don't leave just yet.  Grapple to the far left corner of the room to get the ammo first.

Mission 2: Molten Vein

(part 1 of 3)

The lava stream that flows beneath the city is your next battleground, which holds two more shards of the Demon's armor.  Through a steady ascent, you will in time be free of the sewers.  But beware!  The flows of lava are far from stable.  Should the sewers erupt, your time in this cosmos will be dangerously short.

Begin the new mission by hacking up the Spawner and Headless with the Punisher.  Quickly grab the Windblade and off the Ballbuster coming down the hall.  Grab the ammo and Health Flask and move ahead to the Spawner around the corner to the left.  Get the Jack-in-the-Box from behind the pipe and then take out the Fat Lady beyond the Spawner.

Climb the ladder to the floor above.  Jump to grab the ammo and Hawk Eyes on the pipes and then climb again and approach the pile of crates.

 Smash the tiny crate on the right.  It busts to pieces revealing an alcove in the wall containing a Blood Rose.

Jump over the crates to grab the remaining items and continue on into the next corridor.  Kill the Meanie Beanie and descend the ladder.  There you will face two Spawners and their Gasbags and Headless.  Deal with the Headless and their Spawner first.  Just ahead of you to the left is a Blademaster waitin to ambush you.  Take him out with a blast of the Windblade and then take out the Gasbags and their Spawner.  Across the lava is a Ballbuster.  Once you kill him, grapple to the hook and grab the ammo and flip the lever he was guarding.  On the way back you will have to kill a Ballbuster who appeared.  Once you do, jump back across to the main floor and jump to the left.

Kill the Ballbuster and Unipsycho across the moat and head for the ladder in the rear.  Grab the item behind the pipe and then climb the ladder.  Quickly step off the ladder to the left, grab the Health Flask and begin popping Gasbags.  By staying near the wall on the right, you will be able to kill the Fat Lady without her hitting you.  Descend the ladder here and grab the Angel Charm behind the pipe.

 With the help of the Angel Charm, jump into the lava and head to the right.  Climb the ladder in the short tunnel to emerge where the Fat Lady was standing.  Grab the Blood Rose and jump off the platform onto the pipes to collect the Diamonds.

Follow the third pipe back the tunnel behind the Fat Lady.  Kill the Spawner and other Fat Lady and flip the lever behind the Fat Lady to open the door.  Destroy the Spawner on top of the arch and jump to the Chaos Heart.  Jump back to the walkway and continue ahead and to the right.

Smack the Spawner and Headless to pieces and then move in to kill the Spawner and Stumps to the left.  Leap from the stairs to land on the ledge to grab the Jack-in-the-Boxes.  Jump down and head up the stairs.  Grab the ammo and flip the lever in the center of the room.  Two Spawners and Stumps appear in the corners of the room.  Grab the Windblade and strafe across the room, lighting them up.  Grab the Health Flasks behind the now-defunct Spawners and head back down the stairs.

On your left as you head down the stairs is a pile of crates.  Smash the ones nearest the wall to reveal several Health Flasks.  Head back to the arch you crossed earlier and enter the now open door on the right.  Kill the Fat Lady and then the Ballbuster above and to the left.  Enter the room with the crates and shoot open the large crate in the center of the room.  A Spawner and two Stumps will emerge quickly hack them up with the Punisher and then jump up the tall stack of crates and crouch and jump onto the pipe.

 Leap from the pipe onto the crates near the wall with the Diamonds on it.  Grab the Diamonds and head towards the Rage Orb.  Leap onto the pipe with the ammo and from there onto the ledge where the Ballbuster was to get the Secret Rage Ob.

Jump down and head back to the room with the crates.  In the rear right corner are more breakable crates.  Smash them open and turn the wheel in the second crate.  This will help you find the fourth secret.  Flip the lever and proceed through the door as it opens.

Take out the Ballbuster and flip the lever to raise the heavy bars.  Grab the Belt and jump to the platform on the right to grab the Health Flasks.  Climb the ladder and walk the pipe to the Pamphlet.  Return down the ladder and crawl through the opening towards the Spawner.  Shoot the Spawner with the Windblade and then switch to the Magma Cannon to destroy the Meanie Beanie.

 Directly behind the Spawner is another wheel to turn (if you turned the one in the crate room).  Turn this valve here and a secret hatch will open on the other side of this pipe.  Kill the Ballbuster and jump the lava to grab the Blood Rose.

Jump to the walkway on the right and follow it past the Unipsycho and Spawner.  Kill the last Fat Lady and Spawner at the end of the path and flip the lever to exit this area.

Mission 2: Molten Vein

(part 2 of 3)

Here it is, the level you knew was coming but hoped wouldn't.  You begin this area with a lot of jumping from slowly sinking islands within a sea of lava.  Its actually rather short-lived so don't get too upset.

 From where you stand at the beginning of the area, grapple to the hook above.  The hook contains a Secret Blood Rose.  What a way to start out the level

Grab the ammo from the lift as well as near the pipes on the far wall.  Run up the ramp and turn the wheel to open the large bay door.  Lava fills the room and will continue to rise.  You must be nimble to get through this area.  Quicksave!

Grab the Punisher and de-limb the two Headless around the first bend.  Make your way past the fire and around to the left.  Mindful of the Ballbuster on the ledge above, jump to the Jack-in-the-Box, left to grab the Hawk Eye (only if you really care about items or Hawk Eyes), and then back to the right to the next slab.  Jump to grab the ammo and from there to the pipe on the left.  Quicksave.

Make your way to the left tunnel to grab the Chaos Heart and then back again towards the pipe.  Jump to grab the Diamonds and from there to the walkway on the right.  Hack through the Headless and their Spawner, walk around the pipe via the mostly submerged pipe and destroy another Spawner.

 Grapple to the ring across the way and land on the Draco.  Run up the pipe to grab the not-so-Secret Rage Orb.

Drop down onto the ledge and jump to where the Diamonds are.  Jump again, to the other side towards the Spawners in the distance.  Smash the Spawners, grab the ammo, and follow the path around to the left and climb the ladder.  As you step off the ladder you will acquire the Vest.

Hordes of Headless and a Ballbuster will attack you.  Keep your back against the wall and swing the Punisher with everything you got.  Step out onto the pipe to the left to grab the Blood Rose and then head around the turn.

 Bust the part of the wall with the missing bricks.  A hole will be revealed containing a lot of ammo.  Grab this Secret, you're going to need it.

Continue down the path, kill the Fat Lady and start running.  A couple of Spawners a Ballbuster, and a bunch of Headless await you just ahead.  Use the Draco to take out the Ballbuster on the screened floor and then switch to the Punisher for the Headless.  Grab the items and head back around onto the concrete walkway.  Kill another Fat Lady and jump onto the pipe for another Blood Rose.  Work your way around the corner past the Spawner and then past the Grinder.

 Quicksave before trying this as you'd hate to die going for a Pamphlet!  Carefully jump to the pipe on the right and crawl into the hole in the wall to grab the Secret Pamphlet.

Continue on your current path to the door marked Exit.  Behind the door is a Meanie Beanie so be on guard with the Zero Cannon.

Mission 2: Molten Vein

(part 3 of 3)

The last area of Molten Vein doesn't waste any time getting you under attack.  Grab the Zero Cannon and take out the Headless and dash ahead to start destroying Spawners before even more Headless are on you.  Take out the Spawner on the pipe above, as well as the Ballbuster on the ledge.  Before climbing the ladder, head down the tunnel and obliterate the Spawners on the left and right.  Grab the Windblade and take care of the Fat Lady and Tickler while you're at it.  Head back to the ladder you passed earlier, you're going to get those HP back.

Climb the ladder on the pipe and jump across to the other pipe to get the Blood Rose.  You will return here shortly to flip the lever to reveal a secret in a later area.  Head back across the pipe and follow the Diamonds up to the platform above where some Health awaits you.  Descend the ladder and climb the short ladder near the Fat Lady.  Flip the lever here and head towards the now open door around the corner.

Another Fat Lady and two Stumps meet you at the door.  Take care of them and move on to kill the Spawner and Ballbuster down the path.

 Return back to the previous room and cross over the pipes to the lever you did not flip.  Flip the lever and run your ass off back to this room.  Grapple to the ring over the pipe, run the ledge to the right, and dive into the room behind the opened metal door.  Alas, nothing!  Use the lever to reopen the door and leave.

Cross back over the pipe and open the door.  Another Spawner and Ballbuster need to be put down before advancing.  Step out onto the pipe to grab the health and then jump down and pull the lever to open the door.  Punish the Headless and Spawner in the next area and use another lever to open the door.  Knock the Meanie Beanie out of the air with the Punisher and then climb the ladder.

 About two-thirds of the way up this ladder, behind you, is a small alcove with a Chaos Heart.  Jump over to it to find this Secret.  Continue climbing the ladder.

Take out the Ballbuster across the room and the Spawner right above you and head down the stairs.  Grab the Key from the far side of the room and return to unlock the door.

Grab the Windblade  and enter the room.   Take out the Unipsycho on the left, the Spawner around the corner to the right, and the Fat Lady on the platform left of the Spawner.

 Carefully approach the edge near the Fat Lady.  Below the two Health Flasks, on a pipe, is a Hawk Eye.  Drop down onto the pipe to grab this Secret.  Just make sure you're lined up or else it's lava city for you!

Make your way back into the room you jumped from and jump up the stack of crates to the ledge where the Unipsycho was.  Walk out into the next room, grab the Diamonds and the ammo, and approach the wall that is missing some bricks.

 You can walk right through this wall into a secret area behind it to gather up a Blood Rose.  Grab the Rose and head back around to the previous room.

Jump down off the ledge and follow the corridor past the defunct Spawner.  Strafe left to right to dodge the rapid firing Grinder in the next hall.  Keep moving and take out the Ballbuster high on the left.

Round the corner and destroy the Tickler and the Spawner.  You are now behind the pistons.  Walk up the ramp in the far corner of the room to reach the Jack-in-the-Boxes.  Climb the ladder, Punisher in hand, and take out the Headless and Spawner.  Grab the ammo and Health Vials and continue on.

Battle through the Unipsychos, Ballbusters, and Fat Lady in the next area.  Grab the ammo and Health Vials and jump onto the ladder over the lava to climb up.  Grab the Chaos Heart and then jump onto the pipe on the right.  Follow it to the Blood Rose at the end and either jump down to get the ammo, or return to the ladder.  Either way, tip-toe across the beam near the lava and turn to the left.  Run and jump to the pipe coming in from the right.  Land on the pipe, grab the items and ammo and descend the ladder in the small alcove near the ammo to grab the Rage Orb.  Retrace your steps.

Grab the Punisher and pound the army of Headless the charge you.  Take out the two Spawners and switch to the Scourge.  A Unipsycho and Ballbuster on the left, and another Ballbuster on the right will attack.  Take cover under the three pipes on the left and off one of the enemies at a time.  Grab the items, Health, and ammo and climb the ladder to exit through the Looking Glass.

Mission 3: Nether Station

(part 1 of 2)

Ride the haunted Nether Station, and you will find the fourth and final carnival at its end.  Look before you cross the tracks!

From where you begin, grapple across the lava using the ring.  Jump down quickly and position yourself under the pipe to avoid getting hit by the Ballbuster.  Take out the Stumps and then the Ballbuster.  Grapple to the next ring, drop down and run up the ramp to dispatch the Fat Lady.  Carefully walk along the metal beam to the far side where you will find a Spawner.  Shoot the barrels on the ledge above you to take care of the Ballbuster shooting at you.  Run across the ledge to the far side, face the left and look down.

 Instead of jumping across to the other ledge, drop down onto the floor below and open the metal door.  Inside you will find some ammo, hiding in secrecy.  Return to the where you were before jumping down.

Jump to the ledge and head up the stairs.  Take out the Headless and Spawner to the right and then enter the area on the left to grab the Health Flasks where the Ballbuster was.  In the area to the right, a Unipsycho attacks.  Kill him and then shoot the barrels to blow out the rock wall.

 Head through the opening you created and go down the walkway to the left.  Shoot out the rocks blocking the small entranceway.  Enter the area to grab some more Secret ammo.  Return the way you came.

Head up the ramp to the right of the large opening.  Kill the Spawner at the top of the ramp and step out into the next area.  Carefully walk down the ramp and onto the arch going to the left.  Pass under the tracks and grab the Health Flasks on the rock ledge.  Return to where you entered this area.  Kill the Gasbag and make your way down the ledge to the right.  A handful of Headless attack from behind so be on the ready.

Enter the room at the bottom and be ready to take on two Gasbags and a Unipsycho.  Gather up the ammo they drop and head through the room to the right.  Jump to each of the first three platforms.  Shoot the beams ahead that hold the crates, thereby letting the crates fall.  Jump to these next two crates and then to the ladder.  Take out the Strutters and Ballbuster at the top and grab the next Armor Shard.

Cautiously step out onto the tracks of the machine sliding back-and-forth from the furnace.  Across the room, high on the furnace, is a small gray hatch.  Shoot it to open a large secret space on the furnace that will give you a Blood Rose and Angel Charm.  Cross the tracks to where you grabbed the Chest Plate.

Watch the flame bursts within the center column.  Run across without getting burnt, climb the ladder, grab the health, and jump to the far ladder.  Climb the ladder to the top with the Punisher in hand.  Take out the two Spawners and then switch to the Scourge or Windblade to kill the Fat Lady.  The large metal door opens upon her death.

 Before entering through this door (it locks you in) return to the ladder you just climbed.  Near the top of the ladder, on the center column, an ledge has been revealed.  Jump to this ledge from the ladder to gather up some ammo and a Rage Orb.  Return up the ladder and go through the door near the corpse of the Fat Lady.

Jump over the gap and slide down the arched surface to the floor below.  A Unispcycho, some Gasbags, and about ten Headless attack.  Use the Punisher on the Headless and Unipsycho, and then take out the Gasbags with something ranged.  Don't run behind the center column, or else the severe heat will scorch your HP meter!

With the death of the Headless, a walkway will emerge in the center of the lava pit.  Grab the Health Flasks, and proceed through the barred entrance to the station.  As soon as you enter, three Gasbags attack from your front.  Also, a Spawner and its Headless offspring attack from the right.  Use a Rage Orb, blast them all to hell, and watch those tracks!  Instant death if you get hit by the coaster!  Cross the tracks to grab the Health Flask and watch any Headless get run over.  Punish the Spawner, wait for the coaster to roar on by, and then follow after it.  Play it safe by stepping off the tracks onto each of the ledges until it passes again.

The train won't be the only thing you have to worry about on the tracks.  Spawners, Headless, Unipsycho, and Stumps will try to stop you.  Switch back and forth between the Punisher and the Scourge to get rid of them.  Grab the Health and ammo from the ledges and continue on.  When you get to the large landing on the right, jump off the tracks and grab the Magma Cannon.  Strutters and a Strongman guard the Exit.  Grab the Health Flasks and keep on blasting.  The Exit is yours once the Strongman is toppled.

Mission 3: Nether Station

(part 2 of 2)

You begin the second area of the mission in Vincent Station.  Grab the Health Flasks directly behind you, kill the Headless and Ballbuster waiting for you on the platform and approach the Ticket Counter.

  "Use" the Ticket Counter window to open it.  Grab the Secret Hawk Eye inside.

Head down the tracks to the left.  Don't worry, no trains are coming.   Take out the Ballbuster and Gasbags to the left and continue on to Criss Station.  Slice away at the baddies there and grab the items.  Move down the ramp, killing the Ballbuster on the way.  Grab the ammo from the ledge and battle your way past the Strutters, Headless, and Ballbusters to the bottom of the ramp.  Grab the Health Flask from the far side of the Newsstand and continue down the ramp to Frehley Station.

Arm yourself with the Punisher and take out the Spawners, Headless, and two Unipsychos.  Head up the tracks to the right, battling through hordes of Headless as you go.

 Jump to the ladder on the left and QUICKLY descend into the lava, crouch down and grab the Angel Charm and Blood Rose under the wall.  You may want to Quicksave before going for this one.  Climb up the ladder and continue on.

Waste the three Ballbusters on the ledges ahead and run up each of the ramps on either side of the tracks to get the goodies.  As you move up the ramp on the left behind the wall, Stumps will attack from behind so be prepared.  Drop a couple of Jack-in-the-Boxes down on them and you'll be OK.

Continue up the tracks and into Carr Station.  Bust out the Punisher and lay it on the Headless and Gasbags.  If you jump and swing you can even kill the Gasbags with it, provided they're not too high in the air.
 
 

Destroy the map of the train system to find a hidden spot with a Rage Orb and Blood Rose in it.  As soon as you grab them a Fat Lady and nearly twenty Headless attack.

Cross through the station and go down the next set of tracks to Stanley Station.  Grab the Blood Rose in the center of the tracks on the way down and then start blasting away with the Magma Cannon.  An Arachniclown and a gaggle of Headless greet you near the station.  Grab the ammo and Health and step back onto the tracks.  Use the Windblade to smoke the Ballbuster in the distance and then step gingerly onto the ledge on the left.  Cross the pipe to where the Ballbuster stood and ascend.  Jump to the ledge on the left, grab the Health and take out the Gasbags.  Start slicing through the Stumps that attack to the beats of "God of Thunder".

Ascend the next pipe and ramp to Simmons Station.  Destroy the Spawner and remaining Stumps and head to the Looking Glass.

Kids Don't Try This at Home: Feeling like you can lick anything this game  has to offer you?  Go ahead and Quicksave and then take aim on the two speakers above the Looking Glass.  When the second one is blown, you will be locked in the station with eight Unipsychos.  You can't exit until the last one is put to rest.  If you make it that long!

Mission 4: Gloomvale

What was once our proud carnival is now but an empty shell of evil, ruled by a soulless Ringmaster.  You must cleanse this unholy fortress and restore the justice of the Elder.  Bring back the Demon's rage so that we may undo the Nightmare Child's evil and find a new start in the purgatory flames.  There is nothing left to say.  It all rests with you now.

Grab the Health Vials behind you, step through the doors and "Use" the barrel to get some extra ammo.  You will be able to do this several times throughout the mission.

 Grapple to the ring on the tower to the right of where you begin.  Jump to the tiny ledge opposite the tower and make your way back over your starting point.  Grab the ammo and items there.

Continue up the ramps, jump to grab the Chaos Heart, and use its special powers to waste the Blademasters all around.   As the last one falls, gates near the pouring lava in the next area open, revealing Unipsychos and a Ballbuster. Shoot the barrels to detonate on the Strutters and use the Windblade to take care of the army of enemies.

 Grapple to the ring to the right of the lava to drop onto a high ledge.  There you will find more Health and ammo to aid you in your mission.  Jump back down and enter the room behind the "lavafall".

Gather the items there and flip the lever, thereby opening the door under the clock.  Grab the Windblade and start blasting the two Ballbusters and Stumps that meet you in the courtyard.  Upon their death, the bars to the right of the clock are lifted.  However, grab the Health Flasks from the room under the clock and shoot the wall.  A locked door is revealed.  Return here later once you flip a certain lever.

Before entering the now opened area, take out the barrels from a safe distance with the Zero Cannon.  Enter the next room, armed with the Windblade, prepared to battle several Unipsychos.  Forge your way into the room to the right where you can destroy the Spawner and grab a BUNCH of ammo!  Reenter the main room and blast away at the Unipsychos.

Bust out the Scourge and grapple to the ring near the two pipe ends over where you entered the room.  Drop down onto a Secret ledge to find some ammo.  Jump down and head up the stairs.

At the top of the stairs you will emerge through a cleverly painted clown face.  If you jump into the Ticket booth and look to the left you can see an Angel Charm.  You can't get it yet, but soon.  Open the door and grab the Elder Mask that awaits.

 Grapple to the ring left of the dragon face over the door.  Drop down into the Secret area and grab the Angel Charm and other assorted niceties.  While you're invincible, grapple back to the main area in front of the door and start firing.

A Grinder, Strutters, and semi-transparent Ticklers attack.  Use the Punisher to take out the ground troops while you're invincible and then aim your Magma Cannon at the Tickler.  Enter the doorway and follow the ramp to the tent area of the carnival.  Jump onto the decking on the right to get out of the swarm of Headless. Blast the two Blademasters then slice through the Headless.  Run through the tent at the end of the yard to grab the health boosts there.  The bars will remain down until you obtain the Ticket.

Descend the dirt walkway below the decking in the courtyard and battle your way across the wooden platform.  Use a Rage Orb and drop off the platform and into the pit of Hell itself.  Use the Punisher to take out the Spawners and the horde creatures they create as fast as you can, then take on the Strongman with the guns.  Start blasting the Blademasters while you dodge their firepower.  Grab the ammo and Health Flasks littering the area and head down the side paths behind the cages.  Descend the ramp to the checkered floor below.

Stomp out the Spawner ahead and then duck behind the ramp to grab one of the two Blood Roses there.  Use the Windblade to kill the many Blademasters in the room and battle your way around the corner to take out another Spawner.  Grab the Health and, if the room has been cleared, begin up the spiral stairs.  Three Ballbusters will attack on the staircase.  Double-back down the stairs to rid the room of them.

At the top of the stairs you will be instantly faced with an Arachniclown among other enemies, like numerous Gasbags.  Use a Rage Orb and strap on the Windblade to clear the room.  Blast the enemies and climb the first ramp, careful not to fall in the pit.  Kill the Meanie Beanies and Strongman there and keep firing until not a soul stirs.

Enter the side room where the Meanie Beanies came from, grab the Angel Charm and drop through the hole in the floor.  Flip the lever and listen to the clock's bell chime.  You just unlocked that door behind the wall you smashed earlier.  Grapple out of this area and descend the ladder into the huge pit in the center of the main room.  Step onto the platform, kill the Gasbags and work your way to the lever.  Flip the lever to gain access to some new corners of the tent.  Grab the goods, kill the baddies, and climb back up the ladder.

Run up the second ramp to the top.  To your left is a Ballbuster and a Spawner.  Kill them both and grab the much-needed Blood Rose.  Turn and enter the corridor on the opposite side.  Forge ahead, past the Spawners and other enemies to grab the Ticket.

 Jump over the wall and high-tail it back out of this area to the clock tower you passed in the very beginning of the mission.  Go inside and open the metal door there (break the wall if you hadn't earlier) to find a bounty of ammo and a Blood Rose.  Return to the main tent area, killing the Meanie Beanies on the way.

Insert the Ticket into the collection box and watch out!  A half-dozen Ticklers will attack so grab the Scourge and get scrambling.  If you need to, run into the tent to grab a Blood Rose and then continue killing.  Destroy the Fat Lady in the tent and head to the Looking Glass, hopefully filled with 250HP!

Mission 4: Gloomvale

(part 2 of 2)

Boss: Blackwell

Blackwell makes a grand entrance in the center ring.  Nonetheless, he's just a scrawny punk in a cheap suit and funny looking hat.  The "ring" has a lava layer to it that will slowly drain your HP if you run around on it too long.  More of a worry to you is Blackwell.  He essentially has three attacks.  Whenever he bends over and takes off his hat, arcing fireballs will take off, likely raining down on your present location.  Move away and you wont get hit.  Secondly, if you're near him, he can fire a screaming blast of flame directly at you.  Thirdly, If you get real close to him, he can hit you with his cane, sending you clear across the ring.

Your best bet at beating Blackwell is to keep circling the ring and firing.  Ammo and Health will appear around the perimeter of the ring, making running out of either rather unlikely.  Pour a generous stream of lava on him with Draco, taking him down to two-thirds of his life bar.  At which time he will call for the help from Strutters.  These little pains in the butt are going to appear in each of the lava wells throughout the rest of the battle.  Use a weapon like the Magma Cannon to blast them as you see them.

Continue circling the ring and firing at him.  If you get close, let him have it with the Draco again.  When he's down to one-third of his life bar he pulls the last card out of his sleeve—two look-alikes.  Continue on the same way you have, watching for which Blackwell takes damage and fires at you.  It won't be long before you become the Demon Elder.

 The Four Who Are One stand united!  Quickly now, while there is still time.  The Dark One must be banished!  A dark dawn will begin if the new god sets its gaze upon the cosmos and realizes its own power.  End this nightmare now and leave this seed of evil forever barren.
