black lab mix, "Porter"

Porter is 90% potty trained and very loving. His time at the pound was up and no one came for him. But he was too nice of a dog to let go, so the pound volunteers fought very hard to save him and find a rescue for Porter. So lucky Porter was saved and is being fostered in Minneapolis, MN and is looking for a forever home.. He is a tall boy who is underweight do to wandering the streets as a stray. He is gaining weight and looking better everyday. He is a really good looking dog who will be extra handsome once he fills out to his ideal weight. He loves to sit for treats and go for runs. He likes other dogs and would love to go to a home with another active dog. He is curious about cats but mostly calm around them. He play bows in front of them, hoping they will play with him. We think he would do fine in a home with children, he enjoys their company when he gets to be around them. He is a very nice dog who deserves a loving home.

shephard mix , "Josie"

Josie is a medium size Shepherd mix. She is a wonderful dog who loves other dogs and actually gets along with cats. She is housebroken and crate trained. Her foster parents think she is an all around wonderfully sweet dog. She was saved from a dog pound where her time was up. Now she is enjoying romping around at her foster home. She is a really pretty dog. Her pictures don't do her justice. She is too wiggly to sit still for pics. Her adoption fee is $100. She is up to date on her vaccines and must be spayed when adopted.

bull mastiff mix, "Matilda"

Matilda is a very gentle Bull Mastiff mix. She is at least 3 years old and has a very nice disposition. She is spayed, up to date on shots and house trained. She is very smart and knows some commands. She loves to play fetch and to be with people. She was rescued from a pound in Jamestown, ND. She is being fostered in Grand Forks. Look at her sweet face, she was once someones pet and for whatever reason they did not come looking for her when she got lost. Matilda really needs a forever home that will love and care for her. Bigger dogs like her are hardly ever rescued since most people want small "designer" dogs. Matilda deserves her chance at life and a loving family please give her that chance. She will thank you with many doggie kisses! Matilda's adoption fee is $100

Pitbull, "Calvin"

Calvin is a real sweetie. He gets along great with other dogs and did fine with the cat at his foster moms house. He is very smart and a quick learner. He really loves the dogs in his foster home so we are hoping to find him a forever home with other dogs. He loves to go for walks and to just goof around. He would do best in a home with older children, because quick movements scare him sometimes. He is potty and crate trained. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. His adoption fee is $120

senior mix , "Loki"

Loki is an about 10 year old dog looking for a home to love her in her Golden years. She is only 29lbs and is very gentle. She gets along with dogs, cats, birds etc. She loves everyone. She spent most of her life with a family who found her when she was a young stray dog. Sadly this family dumped Loki at a pound when they felt she was too old. Although she gave them years of love and loyalty they were not caring enough to keep her. Loki has a lot of love to give and is looking for a companion who is not concerned with age and will love her and value her for the very special dog that she is . She enjoys walks and really enjoys cuddling. If you are looking for a quiet companion to read a book with or go for a stroll than Loki is the dog for you. She does take heart medication every day, but this medicine is inexpensive and will not be a burden on her forever family. Please open your heart and home to this sweet senior.

July 30 foster home update - Loki gets along with my 3 cats and mini-schnauzer! Unbelievable! She's great on our 1 mile walks and the sweetest dog I've ever seen! Thanks for letting me foster her!

special mix , "Whiskey"

Whiskey is a very special dog. He loves everyone and is a happy go lucky fellow. He is very handsome and enjoys all the attention he can get. Whiskey is special for a few reasons. #1 He was scheduled for euthanasia at a pound in MN, but Whiskey's personality saved his life! He was hand picked by the dog warden to go to rescue because he was so nice and loving.. #2 The other reason he is special is because he has some coordination issues and wobbles when he walks. It is very cute and unique. He will make a great companion! He is about 2 years old. His adoption fee is $100.

Red Tick (English) Coonhound, "Winston"

Winston is a 2 year old Red Tick Coonhound. He loves other dogs and people. He is a bit shy at first, but warms up quickly. He was rescued after spending 35 days in a pound in Ohio. The staff loved him too much to "put him to sleep" when his time was up, so they held onto him until a rescue could be found. He is a very sweet dog who is looking for a forever family that will show him the love he has never known. Please consider opening your heart and home to Winston. "The English Coonhound is an excellent hunting dog for both the hunter who wants a single dog as well as the hunter who already has a number of hunting dogs. This is a hunting dog with a highly sensitive sense of smell and in most cases, these dogs have a "cold nose." A dog that has a "cold nose" has the ability to pick up a trail that is quite old and therefore the scent is "cold." Additionally, the voice of the English Coonhound is said to be quite pleasant and is said to be a good "hound bawl."

Sweet Coco is only 1 years old and about 30 lbs. He loves other dogs and would be a wonderful companion to a loving home. He is current on all vaccines and is neutered. His adoption fee is $120 Coco really needs a foster home while he waits for his forever family.

Brandi is a 4 year old Shepherd mix. She is great with kids and is housetrained. Her family is moving and can't afford the pet deposit to bring her with, how sad. She listens well and is a very nice dog. She is about 40 pounds of love and could really use a new family to care for her for the rest of her life.

July 30 update from foster home: She's doing well; she's a very sweet, easygoing dog. She doesn't bother or seem to mind the cats and is nice with my dog as well!

pitbull mix, "Rex"

July 30 update: IN TRIAL HOME! Rex is a 1 year old Pitbull mix. He is a super sweet, goofy, lovable guy. He came from a pound in Fargo where he had run out of time. I am so glad we were able to save this boy. He loves other dogs and would love a home with another dog or at least one that would take him to play with some buddies at the dog park. He is a young dog who needs training, but is eager to learn. He has the sit command down already. I think he would also do fine with cats. He is neutered and up to date on shots.

French Mastiff (Turner N Hooch dog) mix?, "Jules"

July Update: IN TRIAL HOME! Jules is about 4 months old. She is a very sweet puppy with lots of energy and love. I need to take some new pics of her to show off her beautiful coat and long legs. We think she may be French Mastiff mix (Turner N Hooch dog), but that's just a guess! She is going to be a BIG dog! This poor muffin came froma home who did not treat her well. Despite that she loves everyone and enjoys playing with other dogs. She is a puppy and although puppies are cute they take a lot of patience and work. So you must be ready to put in the time and love it takes to raise a puppy. Jules is a heartbreaker who looks like a doggy supermodel with her beautiful coat, long legs and green eyes.
