Kathryn and Seven
Introductory
Notes : The dynamic between Seven and her Captain is very strong.
Seven looks up to Kathryn as a mentor, an example of what it is
to be not only human, but a strong, capable woman. And Kathryn
looks out for Seven and endeavors to challenge her. Is it a
romance? Maybe not. But there is love there, deep love. This song
is from the anime "Key the Metal Idol" and illustrates
the relationship between two friends, Sakura, a girl who's lived
through much loss and known little love, and Key, an android-girl
who is alone in the world and has no real grasp on what it means
to be human, though it is what she wants more than anything in
the world. A comparison is inevitable, and valid.
Kathryn is fiercely protective of Seven, and Seven always comes
to Kathryn when she is lonely, frightened or confused. Kathryn
always listens and tries to help Seven find her way.
